Aw Phooey! Here We Go Again!
Well blow me down! It seems that blustery ol' Donald Trump is at it again causing quite the hullabaloo in the world of cybersecurity! This time he's got his feathers ruffled over Chris Krebs the former Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Chief. Remember him? The guy who said the election was "the most secure in American history?" (Spoiler alert: Trump didn't like that one bit!).
Executive Order? More Like Executive Disorder!
So what did Trump do? He signed an executive order – a real doozy! This order targeting Krebs and anyone even remotely associated with him is like a big honkin' anvil falling on SentinelOne Krebs' employer. He even called Krebs a "bad faith actor!" Talk about adding insult to injury! I mean what's the big idea? Can't a duck get a break from all this political squawking?
Quack Quack! Krebs Calls it Quits!
And wouldn't you know it Krebs decided to throw in the towel at SentinelOne. He says it's his choice but let's be honest who wants to be in the middle of a tempest in a teapot stirred up by… well you know who! He's leaving to fight for democracy and freedom of speech like some sort of...superhero. Oh boy oh boy oh boy!
A Fight for Democracy? Hot Dog!
Krebs bless his heart says he's ready to fight for democracy freedom of speech and the rule of law. He's talking about giving it everything he's got! Now that's some serious dedication folks! It makes you wonder if he's got some of Goofy's 'gawrsh' and Mickey's can do attitude mixed in there.
SentinelOne Feeling the Pinch?
Of course this whole ordeal has SentinelOne feeling a little...goosey. They admit they rely on the government for some business and Trump's shenanigans could ruffle their feathers. But they are trying to pretend that everything is fine! They say it wont have material impact on their business. But who knows! The world is changing so fast nowadays!
What's Next? A Big Fat Question Mark!
So what's the moral of the story? Well it seems like ol' Donald Trump is still making waves even after leaving office. And who knows what other zany adventures await us in the world of politics and cybersecurity? As for me I'm going to go bake a cake. I hope nothing goes wrong last time I baked a cake it exploded!
