What in the Name of Uncle Scrooge?

Aw gee whiz! This is Donald Duck reporting and I'm MAD! M A D mad! These Republicans in the House they're tryin' to pull a fast one! They wanna get rid of the tax credits for electric cars! A measly $7,500 for new ones and $4,000 for used ones! What are they tryin' to send us back to the Stone Age? 'Oh boy oh boy oh boy!' This is gonna be a quack tastrophe!

No More 'Ka Chunk Ka Chunk'?

And it gets worse! They also wanna scrap the rules that make car companies build more electric cars. You know the ones that keep those gas guzzling jalopies from chugging all the gas in Duckburg! They call it 'tax reform,' but I call it 'fowl play!' It's like tryin' to build a boat outta marshmallows completely bonkers!

China Gets the Last Laugh? HA!

Genevieve Cullen from the Electric Drive Transportation Association (try sayin' that three times fast!) says this is bad news. Really bad! She says it'll give China a 'scrooge mcduck sized' advantage! They'll be buildin' all the electric cars and we'll be stuck with our tailfeathers between our legs! This is worse than when Huey Dewey and Louie 'accidentally' filled my car with popcorn!

Battery Blues (or Should I Say Battery Screws?)

Now they're keepin' some tax credits for makin' batteries but with a catch! No credits for cars with parts from Chinese companies starting in 2027! So even if Ford or Tesla use Chinese battery tech they're out of luck! Talk about a 'fowl' compromise! This is as confusing as tryin' to understand Gyro Gearloose's inventions!

Loan Sharks Beware!

And hold on to your hats folks! They're also tryin' to kill a loan program that helps companies build fancy new cars! That's billions of dollars down the drain! Remember those loans to Ford Stellantis and Rivian to build battery plants? Poof! Gone! It's like magic... bad magic! This is enough to make a duck lose his temper and you KNOW how THAT goes!
