Eh What's Up Doc! Singapore's Economy Slower Than a Tortoise Race!

What's up Doc? Bugs Bunny here reporting live from… well not Singapore. Too many Elmer Fudds running around if you catch my drift. Anyway word on the street (or carrot patch as I call it) is that Singapore's inflation is hanging low like a badly drawn Acme product. Seems their Consumer Price Index only hopped up 0.9% in March. That's slower than Yosemite Sam trying to catch me!

Food and Fuel The Eternal Struggle!

Those fancy pants economists are saying it's all about food and private transport costs going up. Well duh! You think carrots grow on trees? And have you seen the price of rabbit fuel these days? Election Time It's Rabbit Season… No Wait!

Now get this they're having a general election soon. Prime Minister Lawrence Wong (sounds like someone I'd outsmart with a quick disguise) is worried about the cost of living. He blames wars and supply chains and all that jazz. Sounds like a complicated mess but hey at least it's not duck season! Or is it?"Of course you realize this means war!"

Zero Growth? Not on My Watch!

And get this they eased up on their money policies (whatever those are) because they might have ZERO GROWTH this year! Zero! That's less than the number of times I've fooled Elmer Fudd in a week. They say their GDP is lower than expected only 3.8%. That's slower than a…well you get the picture. "Ain't I a stinker?"

Manufacturing Meltdown

Apparently their Ministry of Trade and Industry (try saying that three times fast!) downgraded their GDP forecast. It's all because of manufacturing and some fancy service sectors slowing down. Sounds boring. All I know is if the economy keeps going this way even carrots might become a luxury. And then where will I be? "What a maroon!"
