Sufferin' Succotash Another Market Dip!

Well eh what's up doc? It seems the S&P 500 had a bit of a tumble down 0.7% as of midday Monday. Trading around 5,480 ish. Reminds me of the time I tried to outsmart Yosemite Sam – ended up flatter than a pancake! But hey at least we ain't in correction territory... yet.

Hopin' for Tariff Talks? Hold Your Horses!

The market did jump 4.6% last week hopin' like a bunny for progress on tariff talks. But as I always say 'This looks like a job for a magician!' 'Cause relying on politicians to play nice is like expectin' Elmer Fudd to give up huntin'. Ain't gonna happen folks.

Oppenheimer Says 'Hold On There Pilgrim!'

This Ari Wald fella over at Oppenheimer a real smart cookie he is says the risk reward ain't lookin' so hot as we get near the 200 day average somewhere around 5,745. He's basically sayin' things need to 'back & fill'. Sounds like somethin' I'd tell Daffy Duck after a particularly disastrous scheme!

Roth Capital's 'Bear Case' Still Growlin'!

JC O'Hara at Roth Capital Partners is chirpin' a similar tune. The S&P 500 is no longer 'in correction territory' he said but there is resistance until it gets to 5,670 which it closed at April 2nd. 'Repairs continue but the bear case remains,' he says. Sounds pretty serious eh?

JPMorgan's Crystal Ball: Fuzzy!

The folks at JPMorgan are seeing the S&P 500 stuck between 5,200 and 5,800. Their advice? 'Sell risk assets on strength rather than chasing the momentum.' Translation: Don't be a chump chum! Unless you LIKE gettin' tricked like Wile E. Coyote with his ACME gadgets!

The Moral of the Story Doc?

So there you have it folks. The market's doin' the ol' soft shoe but the experts are warnin' us not to get too comfy. Remember 'Sometimes you gotta lose to win!' But most of the time you win anyway. Heh heh heh!
