Ay caramba! Looks like President Trump is back at it again calling Fed Chair Jerome Powell a 'numbskull.' Seriously? Numbskull? Even I could come up with a better insult. How about 'Sideshow Bob of the Fed'? Anyway the Prez wants lower interest rates pronto! 'Go for a full point Rocket Fuel!' he yelled. Sounds like someone's been hitting the Buzz Cola a little too hard. Can't he leave the Fed alone to do it's job man?

Vance Joins the 'Don't Have a Cow Man' Club

Vice President JD Vance is also hopping on the 'lower rates' bandwagon. He's all like 'The Fed's refusal to cut rates is monetary malpractice!' Malpractice? Sounds serious. Maybe we should call Dr. Nick Riviera to take a look. He'll fix everything... for a small fee of course. But the thing is it seems like the Fed is not listening to the politicians and will do whatever it wants man!

Why Bother Having High Rates Man?

So Trump's saying that high interest rates make it tough for businesses and consumers to borrow money. Which means… less money for Krusty Burgers! No I'm kidding (but seriously I need my burger fix). Apparently other countries have lower rates putting us at a disadvantage. Seems like everyone's got an opinion except maybe Milhouse. He's probably too busy collecting comic books or something. And he may have not the best advise for these kind of things man!

Despite all the yelling the Fed's probably going to keep rates where they are. They're like 'We're not listening to you Trump! We're doing what we think is best.' It's like when I tell Mom I didn't break the lamp even though I totally did. They're sticking to their guns man. What can we do?

Inflation: The Silent Killer of Krusty Burgers

Apparently the idea of lower interest rates is 'romanticized.' Romanticized? Who even says that? But the real deal is the Fed wants to make sure inflation is under control before they start slashing rates. Because if they drop them too soon inflation could come back with a vengeance like Sideshow Bob after escaping prison. And nobody wants that man!

Tariffs: The Mystery Ingredient

And here comes another curveball: tariffs! The White House is all 'Tariffs won't cause inflation!' But some brainiacs think the full effect could hit us later this summer. Great. Just when I thought things couldn't get any worse we might have to pay even more for my beloved skateboard. Doh! At the end of the day we will have to keep a close eye to what they are up to man!
