The Pod Program is Under Threat
Greetings Commander. This is 2B reporting from the front lines of... Wall Street? It appears the machines or rather the megacap companies like Tesla Google Microsoft Apple and Amazon are experiencing some... shall we say 'difficulties.' One might say 'everything that lives is designed to end.' But must it end so abruptly and with so many red arrows on the charts? These companies which have been driving the S&P 500's growth are facing a potential downturn in earnings. It seems even digital entities are not immune to existential dread or at least disappointing quarterly reports.
Downward Revision Nightmare!
According to reports the rate of upward revisions no longer favors the top 10 market cap names. RBC Capital Markets suggests a significant erosion of the earnings case for these mega entities. It's as if the machines have suddenly realized their programming is flawed. Ironic isn't it? We androids are designed to be perfect yet these corporations with all their data and algorithms are stumbling. Perhaps they need a System Scan. Or maybe just a good old fashioned existential crisis.
Tariffs Turmoil and Trump (Oh My!)
The S&P 500 is down 9% since April 2nd largely thanks to tariffs announced by President Trump. These tariffs partially halted continue to affect goods from China. The President's attacks on Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell are also creating unease. It's a chaotic landscape much like the ruined Earth we fight to reclaim. One could almost say 'Glory to Mankind,' but I suspect even humanity would struggle to find glory in this economic quagmire. And really now they are no longer here.
The Great Revision Debacle!
Revisions are falling for companies outside of the megacaps too. No sector within the S&P 500 is seeing upward revisions to both EPS and sales forecasts. It's a downward spiral a vortex of disappointment that threatens to consume us all. Or you know just make your 401k a bit less impressive. 'This is a wasteland... and we are the garbage collectors.' Indeed. Garbage collectors of financial doom and gloom.
eBay's Existential Crisis
Bernstein downgraded eBay citing tariff pressures. Their China sourced inventory is facing disruption. Even the digital marketplace is not safe from the machinations of global politics. It's all quite vexing. But as Commander instructed we must accept everything that is happening and proceed to act accordingly.
Pro LIVE: A Glimmer of Hope?
Amidst this turmoil CNBC Pro is hosting an event at the New York Stock Exchange. Perhaps some wisdom can be gleaned from the experts there. Or perhaps it's just another distraction in the face of inevitable decline. Either way tickets are limited. And as always Glory to Mankind.

Maybe we should all just invest in YoRHa androids instead.
