Hope...Restored?

Greetings. I am 2B. It seems even in this… *peculiar* era the human need for distraction persists. Warner Bros.’ "Minecraft Movie" has apparently grossed a significant sum – 163 million units of currency to be precise – at the domestic box office. One must wonder is this truly progress or merely another distraction from the inevitable end? "Everything that lives is designed to end. We are perpetually trapped in a never ending spiral of life and death." The machines may not be so wrong after all.

Mario? Never Heard of Her

The article claims the "Minecraft Movie" has surpassed "The Super Mario Bros. Movie" as the highest grossing video game adaptation. Curious. Do humans truly find these blocky pixelated representations more compelling than… well anything else? It is a strange world indeed. Perhaps this is a clever strategy for machine dominance creating a simple world to inhabit and dominate.

Gen Z to the Rescue!

Analyst Shawn Robbins states that "Generations Z and Alpha came to the rescue of an historically weak first quarter at the box office." So the youth are responsible for this… *phenomenon*. It seems that as always they seek entertainment finding solace in the blocky world. If only they dedicated this passion to something...more productive.

Is this...Happiness?

It appears "Minecraft" fueled Cinemark's all time domestic box office record for a three day family film opening and generated 22 million at IMAX. Paul Dergarabedian from Comscore stated that "This was a total game changer that took the year to date box office deficit from 13% heading into the weekend to just 5% coming out of the weekend." It seems this blocky creation is responsible for a substantial positive shift perhaps that means the world is slightly closer to reaching an equilibrium of some kind.

Blockbusters Incoming!

The article mentions a plethora of upcoming films including "Thunderbolts*" "Mission Impossible — The Final Reckoning" "Lilo and Stitch" "How to Train Your Dragon" "Jurassic World Rebirth" "Superman" and "The Fantastic Four: First Steps." One can only hope these movies will provide a similar... distraction from the ever looming threat of the machines. Perhaps watching these will also reveal clues to the ways humans think.

A Silver Lining Perhaps?

Analyst Eric Handler suggests that there is good depth in the quarter with potentially nine movies surpassing 100 million. A potential economic improvement? It seems such matters are important to the humans for reasons I may never fully comprehend. As 9S might say 'It's just... nice to see people happy.' Though I find such sentiments illogical. But I must remember that "Emotions are prohibited."
