Greetings mortals! Scorpion here reporting live from... well not the Netherrealm but Anacortes Washington. Turns out this quaint little town is feeling the sting worse than Sub Zero after a hellfire punch. Kaia Matheny owner of Adrift Restaurant is bracing for fewer tourists. Fewer customers mean less gold to line my pockets! I mean *her* pockets. It seems our friends from the Great White North and beyond are choosing to 'get over here' to other destinations. Foolish mortals!

A 12% drop in international visits! That’s almost as bad as my approval rating with Sub Zero. Western Europe Asia South America... everyone's turning their backs! Even Canada usually our best friend is seeing a massive decline. Bookings are down 30%! Clearly they haven't felt the wrath of a true warrior. Perhaps they fear my spear or maybe they just prefer poutine over apple pie. The fools!

Ah trade wars. Always a bloody mess. Trump's tariffs are scaring away tourists faster than Shao Kahn at a tea party. Even China issued a travel warning! Are they afraid of my hellfire? Maybe... or maybe just the airport security. Either way the U.S. is becoming less popular than a Raiden stand up routine. It's that bad mortals!

Immigration: More Like Emigration!

And let's not forget immigration policy. People are scared! 'Whether fair or not a perception is taking hold that more people are being detained'. Who wants to visit a place where they might end up in a cell? I'd rather face Quan Chi again. Actually... scratch that.
