Run Forrest Run... Away From Low Consumer Spending!

Mama always said life was like a box of chocolates you never know what you're gonna get. Well lately China's been gettin' a whole lotta...savins' instead of spendin'. Seems like folks are keepin' their yuan close to their chest. I read in the news that consumer prices have been fallin' for four months straight which is like rain on a tin roof...keeps goin' and goin'. I don't know much about economies but I know when somethin' ain't right. Like when Bubba started talkin' about all them shrimp recipes...that was a whole lotta somethin'!

Stuck in the Mud Like a Shrimp Boat in a Hurricane!

They say the income ain't growin' like it used to. Disposable income that's what they call it. Sounds fancy. Sorta like Lieutenant Dan's legs after the war...different that's for sure. Seems like after that virus thing in 2020 folks ain't gettin' much of a raise. Only the miners the utility people and the folks playin' with computers are seein' their paychecks gettin' bigger. That's like only gettin' one flavor of ice cream...kinda disappointing if you ask me.

Unemployment Blues: Dumber Than a Box of Rocks

And get this lots of young folks ain't got no jobs. That's like tryin' to catch a bullet with a butterfly net...just ain't gonna happen. They say a bunch of people would rather save their money than spend it. Reminds me of when I had all that shrimp money. I just didn't know what to do with it all! I gave some to the church some to Bubba's mama... and I still had plenty left over. Maybe these folks in China should invest in a shrimp boat. That's what Bubba would have wanted.

Education Health Care and Travel: That's All I Have to Say About That

If they are spending they spend on Learnin' and doctors and goin' places. Smart folks! Me? I just ran. Ran real far. But these Chinese folks got it figured out; they save money like squirrels collectin' nuts for winter. They don't have good insurance to pay for the doctor visits send the kids to school or retire in a good place.

They say the price of houses goin' down makes folks scared to spend. That's like Jenny not knowin' what she wants in life. Confused. It makes you wonder what's it all about Alfie? Some smart fella said they should give people more money when they retire and have more days off. Sounds like a good plan to me! Maybe they should give everyone a free box of chocolates too. Mama always said...

Moving Outta the Big City and Into the Country

Some folks are movin' outta the big cities to the little ones where things cost less. Sounds like me runnin' back to Greenbow Alabama. A simpler life that's what it is. Like sittin' on a porch swing with a box of chocolates and a sweet tea watchin' the sunset. Makes a fella think. I don't know much about economics but I know what love is... and maybe a little bit about shrimp.
