Apparently this partnership gives Washington 'preferential access' to Kyiv’s goodies in exchange for a reconstruction investment fund. Ah the sweet song of economic recovery! Treasury Secretary Bessent even claims it’ll help 'facilitate the end of this cruel and senseless war.' As if throwing money at problems ever truly solves them. Still at least someone's trying to extinguish the flames unlike Quan Chi who just fans them higher!

Trump himself chimed in saying this deal is 'payback' for all the U.S. aid. Always the businessman that one. 'I didn’t want to be out there and look foolish,' he blustered. Well too late for that orange one! But hey at least he's being upfront about wanting a return on investment. It's almost... admirable in a twisted Earthrealmer kind of way. This all sounds like 'Test Your Might!' for global economies and military powers.

Even Zelenskyy got in on the act confirming discussions during Pope Francis' funeral. Talk about a business meeting in an awkward setting! Svyrydenko Ukraine’s economic minister assures us this deal is a win win signaling to other players that Ukraine is 'reliable to cooperate with in the long term.' She also stresses that Ukraine gets to decide 'where and what to extract.' Sounds fair... for now. But I've seen enough treachery to know better. Remember Shang Tsung?
