What's Up Doc? Alaska Airlines Bugs Out to Rome!

Of Course a Right Turn at Albuquerque...

Well greetings folks! It's yours truly Bugs Bunny reporting live from... well not exactly my rabbit hole but close enough! Seems Alaska Airlines is about to pull a fast one – a *very* fast one clear across the Atlantic. They're startin' non stop flights from Seattle to Rome next year. Rome! As in 'When in Rome do as the Romans do... and order a carrot smoothie!' Eh maybe not the last part.

Hawaiian Hocus Pocus!

Now how'd they pull this outta their hat you ask? It's simple. Remember that ol' Hawaiian Airlines? Turns out Alaska Airlines gobbled 'em up lock stock and smokin' long haul jets. So suddenly they've got the wings to wing it all the way to Italy. 'Ain't I a stinker?' Alaska probably said rubbin' their paws together. Clever very clever!

Dreamliners and Daydreams

These flights are gonna be four times a week starting in May. They'll be usin' those fancy Boeing 787 9 Dreamliner jets. Sounds like somethin' outta a Buck Rogers cartoon! Word on the street is you can start bookin' your tickets in the fall. Just remember keep your paws off my seat ya hear?

Seattle: Gateway to Gondolas!

Alaska's got big plans see? They wanna turn Seattle into a real international hub. 'Of course you realize this means war!' with other airlines but hey that's showbiz! They're plannin' on addin' a whole buncha long haul international destinations by the end of the decade. Looks like Seattle's gonna be busier than a flea circus!

Hey Rome o Rome o Wherefore Art Thou?

Turns out Alaska's loyalty members have been buggin' 'em (pun intended of course!) for flights to Rome. Italy's a hot spot even Delta and United are gettin' in on the action. But Alaska's like 'Hold the phone! We're gonna give the people what they want!'

Eastward Bound: Tokyo and Seoul

Alaska's already flyin' to Tokyo and Seoul. And get this the Tokyo flights are like 80% full! So they're expectin' the Rome route to be a smash hit too. Plus they figure they'll make a bundle on cargo. Loadin' up those planes with carrots no doubt! And hey to get this show on the road they just need a thumbs up from the FAA.
