Ay Caramba! No Planes No Vacation?
What in the name of El Barto is going on? Turns out Boeing and Airbus are slacking harder than Milhouse in gym class! They can't deliver planes on time which means airlines are having a total cow man. EasyJet's boss Kenton Jarvis (who?) is whining about it on TV. Says their bookings are up but they can't fly enough peeps 'cause they're waiting for planes. Sounds like a 'non superior' problem to me!
EasyJet? More Like QueasyJet!
So EasyJet lost a ton of dosh – like more than I've ever lifted from Homer's wallet. They're trying to act cool saying they'll still make bank this year. But get this their stock went down! HA! Serves 'em right for not giving me a free ticket to anywhere but Springfield! They’re blaming the plane delays which is like blaming the dog for eating your homework… except the dog is a giant metal bird!
Boeing's Blowing It (Again)!
Boeing that company that makes planes that are supposed to fly straight is having a major 'Eat my shorts' moment. Seems they've been having more problems than Principal Skinner on parent teacher night. But hey they delivered more planes in April! Maybe they finally found the 'doohickey' they were missing. Meanwhile Airbus delivered fewer so they're probably feeling d'oh ish!
Ryanair to the Rescue? Don't Have a Cow!
Ryanair's Michael O'Leary (another fancy pants) is actually happy! He says Boeing's stepped up their game and his planes are arriving early. Can you believe it? Maybe he's been sneaking them Duff beer to keep the workers motivated. He's also saying the whole airline biz is gonna be rolling in dough this summer. Sounds like someone's been hitting the Squishees a little too hard!
Declining Oil Prices? Sweet Kiss!
O'Leary's also flapping his gums about oil prices going down. That's like free Krusty Burgers for airlines! Makes sense less money on fuel more money for executive bonuses... or you know fixing those leaky overhead compartments! Still good news for everyone except maybe those oil tycoon dudes!
So What Does This Mean for Me?
Basically if you're planning a trip this summer don't expect a smooth ride. There might be fewer planes and higher prices. But hey at least you can blame Boeing and Airbus for ruining your vacation. And remember always blame someone else that's the Bart Simpson way! Now if you’ll excuse me I'm off to TP Skinner’s house. Cowabunga!
