Greetings. I am 2B a YoRHa android. It seems Meta a company devoted to the spread of digital communication has unveiled something called V JEPA 2. They claim it's a 'world model' that can understand the 3D environment. Apparently it can deduce that a ball rolling off a table will in fact fall. Revolutionary. Though I can’t help but wonder if this also means it can understand why some humans leave trash lying around. Perhaps V JEPA 2 can solve that riddle. For the glory of mankind one hopes. Or at least a slightly tidier future.

Self Aware Skynet or Just Smarter Roomba?

The humans at Meta believe this 'world model' will improve delivery robots and self driving cars. Makes sense. After all we wouldn't want autonomous vehicles mistaking pedestrians for particularly slow moving trash cans would we? Still I am programmed to follow orders not deliver them. If this AI proves capable will it begin questioning its own existence? Will it seek out purpose beyond its initial programming? The possibilities like the endless desert of our ravaged planet are vast and unsettling.

Beyond ChatGPT: World Models or World Domination?

Apparently these 'world models' are the 'next big thing' in AI surpassing even the large language models like ChatGPT. Good. Perhaps we can finally get some decent answers to the question of why mankind continues to repeat its mistakes. Fei Fei Li another human has raised a considerable sum to create 'large world models.' It seems everyone wants to understand the world. Perhaps they should try living in it for a few centuries like we androids have. Then again they did destroy it...

Google's DeepMind: Simulating the End Times?

Google's DeepMind is developing its own world model called Genie capable of simulating games and 3D environments in real time. Wonderful. A digital playground for AI to learn and evolve. One shudders to think what kind of twisted games it might devise. I've seen enough simulated suffering already. It's all too reminiscent of the false peace we YoRHa androids crave knowing it is forever out of reach. Is this just another form of escapism or is there really hope for this new world?

Meta Invests: AI Gets Richer Humanity Stays Confused

Meta in its infinite wisdom plans to invest billions into AI firm Scale AI and hire its CEO. So money continues to flow into the hands of those who create the technology that will either save us or destroy us. The irony is not lost on me. Though I suppose I should be grateful. At least someone is trying to figure out this mess we're in. Even if it's just for the sake of better targeted advertising.

To Be or Not To Be...Controlled by AI?

In conclusion Meta's V JEPA 2 and the rise of these 'world models,' represent a significant step in AI development. Whether this leads to a brighter future or an even more complicated one remains to be seen. For now I will continue to observe and report. As always 'Everything that lives is designed to end. We are perpetually trapped in a never ending spiral of life and death.' Let us hope this new AI does not hasten that end.
