Great Responsibility Terrible Stock Picks?
Alright web heads your friendly neighborhood Spider Man here swinging in with some financial advice – something I usually only give Aunt May. Seems like Redburn Atlantic's telling everyone to bail on Tesla (TSLA) stock. Yep they're saying sell sell SELL! And trust me I know a thing or two about villains and things going downhill fast. They predict more volume drops and a cash flow tighter than my suit after a chili dog. 'With great power comes great responsibility,' and apparently with great stock comes great risk. Who knew?
EV Pricing Problems My Spidey Senses Are Blaring
So what's the deal? According to Adrian Yanoshik from Redburn EV pricing Mexico US trade and China Europe tariffs are all throwing punches at Tesla's profits. Sounds like a job for Spider Man... or maybe an economist? Either way my Spidey sense is tingling. Something tells me this isn't good. I mean even *I* know that tariffs are bad news... and I once accidentally webbed up an entire shipment of hot dogs.
Lower Than Wall Street? That's Saying Something
Redburn's estimates are apparently 10% below what Wall Street's expecting. Ouch. That's like missing a web swing by a mile. And they're hinting at even *more* downgrades if Uncle Sam decides to mess with those Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) credits. Sounds like someone's playing a dangerous game of 'will they won't they?'
Target Practice The $160 Web
Here's the real kicker: Redburn has a $160 price target for Tesla. That means they think the stock could plummet about 44% from where it was on Monday (around $285). That's a bigger drop than I took from the top of the Chrysler Building after fighting Doc Ock! Tesla's already down about 30% this year. Is this what Aunt May meant when she said 'This is my gift my curse' talking about stock investments of course.
Model Y Refresh More Like a Model 'Why Bother?'
Tesla's trying to boost sales with a refreshed Model Y and a cheaper model launching in June but Redburn isn't buying it. They think the sales bump will be 'modest.' Modest? That's like saying J. Jonah Jameson is 'slightly' annoyed by Spider Man. It's a bit of an understatement wouldn't you say?
With Great Power Comes Great Stock Market Swings
So there you have it true believers. Redburn Atlantic's saying 'sell Tesla,' and they've got some pretty convincing reasons. Remember investing is risky kids! Don't put all your eggs in one basket especially if that basket's being swung around by Doc Ock. Now if you'll excuse me I gotta go stop a runaway train... and maybe check my own portfolio. 'I need money. Lots of money.' Uh for web fluid research of course!
