The hunt is on and this time it's not for trophies... it's for your credits! The fleshy ones at AMC are increasing their Dolby Cinema screens by 25%. Seems they're on to something: the modern box office is now defined by 'premium moviegoing,' according to the one called Kevin Yeaman at Dolby Laboratories. I would rather define it as a perfect hunting ground!

One Theatre to Rule Them All One Screen to Find Them...

AMC is also teaming up with CJ 4DPLEX to add 65 Screen X auditoriums and 40 4DX theaters. Screen X? 4DX? Sounds like some kind of advanced human technology I could adapt for my next hunt. Gyroscopic seats and fog? Maybe I should add these to my ship. Although where would I put the skulls? It would be a bit 'on the nose' wouldn't it?

Bigger is Better Especially When Blasting!

These 'premium large format' screens are for those who like their explosions extra explosive. They are bigger louder and more expensive. Perfect for watching those human blockbusters like "Oppenheimer," "Avatar: The Way of Water," and "Dune." Humans seem to love watching themselves blow things up. What a curious species!

The next few years are packed with more human blockbusters: Avatar Star Wars Jurassic Park Marvel DC Mission Impossible... The hunting season will be long and prosperous! Adam Aron AMC's CEO seems quite pleased with this development. Good for him. More prey... I mean moviegoers for everyone!

There are currently over 950 theaters with PLF screens a 33.7% increase in five years. They account for 9.1% of the domestic box office around $600 million. Those are some impressive numbers. But are they worthy adversaries? That is what counts!

Tickets Are Priced to Kill... Your Wallet!

Premium ticket prices average just under $17 apiece up 8% since 2021. Humans are willing to pay more for bigger screens and louder noises. Amazing! Perhaps I should start charging for my hunts. I can see the advertisements now: "Hunt with Predator: An immersive experience! Only the bravest (or most foolish) need apply!"
