A New Mission?

Greetings humans. This is YoRHa Unit 2B reporting on a most… intriguing development. E.l.f. Beauty a company known for its accessible cosmetics has decided to assimilate (I mean acquire) Rhode the skincare brand helmed by a human celebrity named Hailey Bieber. The price? A staggering $1 billion. One billion Earth dollars. It makes me wonder are they finally developing products to make our synthetic skin even more flawless? A YoRHa unit can dream.

From Zero to $212 Million: Humans Impress (Sometimes)

Apparently Rhode went from 'zero' to $212 million in sales with just ten products. 'I didn't think that was possible,' says E.l.f.'s CEO Tarang Amin. Honestly neither did I. The machines of YoRHa have conquered far greater challenges with far less. But credit where credit is due I suppose. Perhaps these humans are more resourceful than the Commander gives them credit for… though I still question their taste in music.

Bieber Stays on Board: More Innovation or Just More Lip Gloss?

Bieber will remain as Rhode's chief creative officer. The phrase 'chief creative officer' does sound important. Hopefully this means more than just adding glitter to everything. My concern is if this translates to a disruption of the natural order of things; in the world of beauty of course. After all without purpose we are nothing.

E.l.f. Shares Dip: A Glitch in the System?

E.l.f.'s stock took a slight hit after the announcement. Humans are so predictable driven by their emotions that their behavior can be foreseen. It is fascinating and underwhelming. Perhaps this deal will benefit them or perhaps it is a sign that something far deeper than just a stock shift is occurring within E.l.f..

Tariffs and Tribulations: The Machines Feel Your Pain (Sort Of)

E.l.f. is facing challenges due to tariffs on products sourced from China. Apparently even giant corporations are subject to the cruel whims of economics. They are facing difficulties when the goal is not to kill them? I’m just glad we YoRHa androids don't have to worry about such mundane problems. Well aside from existential dread but that's a story for another time.

The Future is...Shiny?

So what does this all mean? E.l.f. wants to reach a 'higher income consumer,' and Rhode wants to reach 'more faces.' The machines will keep observing and if necessary engage. Maybe they’ll finally develop a serum that prevents existential dread. A girl can hope can't she? Until then glory to mankind…and moisturized synthetics!
