Judgement Day for Tesla?
Listen up people. Sarah Connor here. I've seen the future remember? And let me tell you machines aren't just coming for our jobs they're coming for Tesla's market share! These numbers coming out of China…they ain't pretty. Tesla's sales dropped by 11.5% in March. Eleven point freaking five! That's like Skynet getting a firmware update. Suddenly that whole 'no fate but what we make' thing feels a little less comforting.
BYD: Building Your Doom?
While Tesla's stumbling BYD is having a field day. They sold over 370,000 'new energy vehicles' in March. That's enough to trigger a Skynet level existential crisis. Remember when I said 'it's in your nature to destroy yourselves'? Maybe I should have specified 'with affordable electric vehicles'. These local companies in China are learning fast and they're out for blood. The writing is on the wall.
Model Y: More Like Model Why Bother?
Tesla tried to fight back with a revamped Model Y. Nice try Elon. But slapping a fresh coat of paint on a death trap doesn't change the fact that Judgment Day is still coming. You can polish a T 800 but it's still a relentless killing machine. The Model Y is good but it seems it is no match for the competition coming out of China and these other EV manufacturers.
Elon's Efficiency Obsession: Is He Helping or Hurting?
So Elon's part of some 'Department of Government Efficiency'? Ironic isn't it? He wants to cut government jobs while his own company's stock is tanking. Talk about misplaced priorities. Maybe he should focus on building cars that people actually want to buy instead of playing 'Terminator' with public sector employees. 'Are you Sarah Connor?'...No but he is starting to make me nervous.
Tariffs and Tantrums: The Trump Effect
And then there's Trump and his trade wars. Tariffs on components coming from Mexico and China? That's just throwing gasoline on the fire. Politics tariffs competition it's all a big cluster of potential doom. The future is not set but Tesla's current trajectory looks like a one way ticket to the scrap heap. 'The unknown future rolls toward us. I face it for the first time with a sense of hope because if a machine a Terminator can learn the value of human life maybe we can too.' Maybe Tesla can learn the value of competitive pricing.
Distracted Much?
Musk himself even admits that his DOGE involvement could be hurting Tesla's stock. No kidding Sherlock! Focus Elon! You're not fighting Skynet; you're fighting BYD. Get your priorities straight before it's too late. Tesla is not a person it can't learn therefore it can't be bargained with it can't be reasoned with it doesn't feel pity or remorse or fear... and it absolutely will not stop...until it has lost all its market share!

Tesla is still the best in my opinion, just needs to push forward.

I'm sticking with my gas-powered car. EVs aren't there yet.
