Life is Like a Highway or Maybe a Used Car Lot?

Mama always said life was like a box of chocolates you never know what you're gonna get. Well these car tariffs are kinda like that box. One day they're high the next day they're... well still kinda high but maybe not as high as before. President Trump he signed something that makes the car companies a little happier but it's all kinda confusing like trying to understand why Jenny liked that no goodnik Wesley. They still gotta pay some but maybe not as much.

Run Tariffs Run! (But Not Too Far)

So Mr. Trump he still wants 25% on imported cars that's like a big ol' tax. But he's trying to help out 'cause he put another 25% on steel and aluminum and that's like stacking pancakes on top of each other – too many! Now if you make cars here in the good ol' US of A you might get some money back like a coupon for parts. It's like when Bubba got a discount on shrimp. Speaking of Bubba Gump...

Parts is Parts and Money is Money

They're gonna give some of the car folks money back for the parts they buy but only if they build the cars here. It's kinda like when I played ping pong for the Army. They gave me paddles and a table and I just had to hit the ball real good. If these car folks assemble their cars before 2026 they might get 3.75% back then it goes down to 2.5%. It's all about numbers and I ain't no math whiz but even I know that less is better than more... unless it's shrimp.

Transition? Sounds Like a New Dance Move

Mr. Trump said he wanted to help 'em out during this 'little transition.' A transition? Sounds like one of them fancy dance moves Jenny used to do. He said if they can't get parts he didn't want to 'penalize' them. Penalize that's a big word! It's like when you get sent to the principal's office which I only did once... when I accidentally ran through the school with my football gear.

Automakers Unite! (Like Peas and Carrots)

All these car companies they got together and told Mr. Trump that these tariffs were causing a ruckus. They said it could hurt them and some of them are already feeling down like Lieutenant Dan after he lost his legs. They even said it was a positive development if he reconsidered. Positive just like when Jenny finally came back to me.

So that's the story about the car tariffs. It's kinda confusing but it sounds like they're trying to make things a little better for the car folks. I hope they do because I like driving! Makes me feel like I'm running again. And like Mama always said 'Stupid is as stupid does,' and these car companies ain't stupid. They're just trying to make a living just like me and Bubba tried to make a living with shrimp.
