Hey hey everybody! Jackie Chan here! You know usually I'm running around dodging bad guys and making movies but even I can't ignore what's happening in the world! Seems like everyone with a few extra gold bars is packing them up and sending them to Singapore! Why? Because even the richest people in the world want to make sure their precious metals are safe from market madness. Singapore is quickly becoming like Fort Knox but with better food and less chance of running into James Bond villains… I think!

Singapore: The New 'Geneva of the East'!

I always thought Geneva was famous for watches and chocolate but Singapore? They have gold vaults and crazy political stability! This 'Reserve' place sounds like something straight out of one of my movies but it's real life! Apparently they've seen an 88% jump in gold storage requests! That's a lot of bling bling being locked up! I mean I've stored my fair share of props but nothing quite like mountains of gold!

High Net Worth Higher Anxiety!

Gregor Gregersen from The Reserve mentioned a growing sense of unease. It's true! Even rich people worry! Tariffs changing world order potential geopolitical instabilities... sounds like a recipe for a Jackie Chan movie! But in real life! So they’re doing what any sensible person would do: they're sending their gold to a safe place where it's harder for the bad guys to get to it! Remember safety first even if you're super rich! I always say "Don't be afraid of anything just be careful!"

Physical vs. Paper: It's Like Kung Fu vs. No Kung Fu!

Now here's a twist! These wealthy folks are preferring *real* gold bars! Not just some paper saying they own gold! It's like the difference between knowing kung fu and *actually doing* kung fu! Physical gold means fewer risks if the financial system goes topsy turvy. The Silicon Valley Bank crisis made people want to hold their shiny gold tight. As I always say “Sometimes it is better to trust no one.”

Seems like not everyone trusts banks these days! John Reade from the World Gold Council says some people don't even want their gold near a bank! Jeremy Savory chimes in too! If you’re from a country where you don't trust the banking system you put it in a vault! Can't say I blame them! I've had my own share of trust issues in my movies. But seriously keep that gold safe.

So why Singapore? It’s safe stable and it’s a transit hub! Like a central station for wealth! Plus Dubai needs a lot of documentation! "Some people don't like documentation," says Savory. Exactly! Who has time for paperwork when you're trying to save your gold? Now I need to find some time to make a movie about this! Maybe I can call it 'Gold Rush Hour'! HA!
