Saudi Aramco's Profits: Like a Box of Chocolates, You Never Know What You're Gonna Get!

Mama Always Said...

Mama always said 'Life is like a box of chocolates Forrest. You never know what you're gonna get.' Well seems like Saudi Aramco's profits are kinda like that box of chocolates too! They made $26 billion in the first three months which sounds like a whole lotta shrimp boats to me but it's less than last year. Guess even they have their 'less shrimp' days.

Running on Empty (Kinda)

They say the price of oil is lower and they ain't makin' as much as they used to like when I ran across America. Some days I felt like I could run forever and other days well I just wanted to go home and have me some Dr. Pepper. Seems like Aramco's feelin' a bit of that runnin' on empty feeling now but they're still puttin' out more oil than I can shake a ping pong paddle at.

Dividend Blues or Are They?

Now they're talkin' 'bout dividends. Sounds like somethin' fancy. They cut some of 'em like when Bubba cut the shrimp just right. But then they gave out more of the regular kind so it's all a bit confusin' like when Jenny started wearin' those funny clothes. It's like one step forward and two steps back or was it the other way around? I can't rightly remember.

Free Cash Flow: Show Me the Money!

They also mentioned somethin' called 'free cash flow.' Sounds like money you can just spend on whatever you want like a whole lotta Bubba Gump Shrimp! They had $19.2 billion of it. That’s a lot of shrimp money! It was less than last year though. Maybe they should have invested in a better shrimp net.

Slowin' Down Like a Feather in the Wind

The news folks say the world ain't needin' as much oil 'cause things are slowin' down. It's like when I stopped runnin'. I just felt like stoppin'. Maybe the world needs a break from all that oil like when I needed a break from all that ping pong.

So there you have it. Aramco's doin' alright even if they ain't doin' as great as last year. It's all kinda like life ain't it? Some good days some bad days and a whole lotta shrimp in between. Now if you'll excuse me I think I'll go have me a box of chocolates. You never know there might be a shrimp in there!
