A Rude Awakening: From Takeoff to Tragedy
Greetings brave adventurers and fellow Hyruleans! Princess Zelda here reporting on a tragedy that's darker than the bottom of a well in Kakariko Village. An Air India Boeing 787 Dreamliner Flight 171 decided to take a nosedive shortly after takeoff from Ahmedabad India. Apparently it skipped leg day one too many times and couldn't handle the Ganon like forces of gravity. The poor plane crashed into a residential area turning what should have been a routine flight to London Gatwick into a fiery nightmare. It's like watching a perfectly good Lon Lon Ranch milk turn sour only a thousand times worse!
The Numbers Game: More Than Just Rupees Lost
The numbers are grim folks. At least 241 souls were lost when the metal bird went down faster than Link after chugging Chateau Romani. There was only one survivor who's now in a local hospital probably wishing they had a fairy in a bottle right about now. The aircraft carrying 230 passengers and 12 crew members was more than 11 years old. Which in airplane years is probably equivalent to a doddering old Goron trying to climb Death Mountain. Local officials also reported fatalities on the ground. Vidhi Chaudhary a top state police officer told Reuters that approximately 294 died including students as the plane crashed on the building where they were staying. Oh my goddesses even the Great Deku Tree is weeping.
Vanishing Act: A Signal Lost Faster Than My Patience with Navi
The signal from Air India Flight 171 vanished faster than a poe in broad daylight just a minute after takeoff. FlightRadar24 reported the incident occurred at 1:38 p.m. local time. Campbell Wilson Air India's CEO delivered a heartfelt message focusing on the needs of passengers crew and their families. It's a sentiment as sincere as Impa's wisdom but I'm sure everyone is thinking "Could this have been prevented?" I would recommend the use of the Ocarina of Time to rewind time to prevent the incidence but alas only Link has access to it.
Global Impact: A Hyrulean Tragedy
The passengers hailed from all over including 169 Indian nationals 53 British nationals seven Portuguese nationals and one Canadian. The lone survivor is a British national originally from India. Initial data reveals that the aircraft climbed to a mere 625 feet before plummeting back down. If you ask me that sounds like a failed attempt to reach the clouds to find the Wind Fish. The Dreamliner typically used for long routes had been with Air India since 2014. It's truly a dark day for the skies. I wish I could use the Triforce of Wisdom to bring them back!
Investigation Time: Unraveling the Mystery One Rupee at a Time
The cause of the crash is shrouded in mystery thicker than the fog in Zora's Domain after a thunderstorm. Investigations could take months which is about as long as it takes Link to finally understand my cryptic instructions. The U.S. National Transportation Safety Board is sending a team joining the investigation led by Indian authorities Boeing and engine manufacturers. Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg has offered full support canceling plans for the Paris Air Show. Let's hope they get to the bottom of this before another plane decides to mimic a Keese dive bombing session.
Aftermath and Reflection: Lessons for the Future or Just Another Reset with the Ocarina?
Boeing shares took a hit proving that even giants can stumble harder than a Bokoblin on a banana peel. Flights were temporarily grounded at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport. India's aviation minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu promises a thorough investigation. Meanwhile GE Aerospace the engine manufacturer postponed its investor day. As we reflect on this tragedy let's hope that the lessons learned will prevent future disasters. Because honestly I'd rather deal with a thousand years of Ganon than read another headline like this. Until then keep your swords sharp and your wings steady fellow adventurers! May the Triforce be with us all!

Aviation safety must always be the top priority. We need to learn from this tragedy.

Boeing needs to get their act together. This is unacceptable.

May their souls rest in peace. This world is too cruel sometimes.
