Okay so I was scrolling through my feed (duh!) and I saw this thing about Singapore's 'core inflation.' Like what even IS that? Apparently it's about prices going up but not on stuff like cars and houses. So basically it's the price of like my lip kits staying the same? JK! But seriously it went up 0.7% in April. Is that good? Bad? I need Kris to explain this to me. It's giving me 'rise and shine' vibes but not in a good way.

Headline Hype or Nah?

Then there's 'headline inflation,' which sounds like something I should be on the cover of but it's actually about ALL the prices. That was at 0.9% in April. Steady but still...scary! It's like when people say they're 'doing okay' but you KNOW something's up. I need to call Stassie and ask if she knows anything about finance. She's always been the smart one.

Trade Wars & My Wallet

Apparently all this price stuff is because of some trade war between the US and China? I don't know I just sell makeup. But someone said something about 'tariffs' and that sounds expensive. Will this affect my ability to buy another private jet? Because if so I'm gonna need to talk to someone. Like 'this is gonna be a long night' if I have to fly commercial.

Recession?! As If!

And get this – someone said Singapore might be heading for a RECESSION! I can't even spell that without help. But apparently it's bad. Like REALLY bad. Is it time to pull my money out of Singapore and invest in… I don't know…more lip kits? Maybe skincare? I need to diversify! Suddenly my glam room seems a lot less important. Okay not really.

Monetary Policy? Sounds Like My Diet

So the Monetary Authority of Singapore – who even ARE these people? – is trying to fix things. They 'loosened monetary policy.' Is that like when I loosen my SKIMS after a big meal? I hope it works because I don't want to have to start couponing. Can you even imagine?

My Forecast: Glossy or Grim?

They're predicting inflation will be between 0.5% and 1.5%. Okay I need that in lip kit shades not percentages! Honestly all this economic talk is making me tired. I'm gonna go take a nap and hope everything is better when I wake up. Maybe I'll manifest a solution. Or just buy a really expensive handbag to make myself feel better. Don't tell Kris.
