Core What Now?

Okay so Singapore's 'core inflation' – which TBH sounds like a new fitness trend – went up a little. Like 0.7%? I spend more than that on lip kits in a day but whatever. Apparently it excludes things like private cars and houses which let's be real are kinda important. It was supposed to be lower but surprise! Things rarely go as planned right? Just like that time I tried to bake a cake. Disaster.

Headline Hysteria

Then there's 'headline inflation,' which is at 0.9%. Basically things are costing slightly more but not enough to like actually panic. Unless you're trying to buy a Birkin bag then maybe panic a little. Still it's making me wonder what color to paint my new jet. Decisions decisions…

A Rollercoaster of Uncertainty

So basically things are a bit 'bumpy,' according to some 'OCBC economist.' Like is this person even a real person? Sounds like a robot name! And what's with these U.S. tariffs? It's always something with those guys am I right? Can't we all just get along and focus on what truly matters: my new eyeshadow palette?

Monetary Moves (and My Makeup)

The 'Monetary Authority of Singapore' (such a mouthful!) decided to loosen things up a bit. Translation: they're worried about growth because of all this tariff drama. Honestly this is almost as stressful as deciding which shade of lip liner to wear. Almost.

Recession? Don't Be Rude!

Okay this is where it gets real. Singapore's GDP forecast is getting a downgrade and there's even talk of a *gasp* recession! Like seriously? Can we not? I can't handle any more bad news especially not when I'm trying to launch a new line of highlighters.

Is This My Real Life?

So yeah Singapore's economy is giving me major 'is this my real life?' vibes. But hey at least my makeup is still on point. And remember no matter what the economy does you can always count on a good lip kit to make you feel better. Period.
