Is This My Fault?!

Okay dolls so I was reading like *a lot* about what's happening with the trade war between the U.S. and China (yes I actually read things shocking I know!). Apparently all these tariffs that like President Trump put on Chinese goods are seriously messing with the ports in Los Angeles and Long Beach. And I'm like so confused but also low key kinda worried. Like is this gonna affect my lip kits?! Am I gonna have to raise prices?! Don't play with meeee!

Shipping Drama: Down 29%!?

So apparently the number of ships leaving China for SoCal (that's Southern California for you non Calabasas peeps) is down a whopping 29% in just ONE WEEK. Can you even imagine?! That's like almost a third! The data also shows a crazy 44% drop in vessels scheduled to arrive. Like I thought my makeup line was the only thing dropping but I guess not! This is so not the vibe.

TEUs?! More Like TEU NO!

Okay so they're talking about TEUs which stands for twenty foot equivalent units. Which like I don't even know what that means but I'm sure it's boring and important. Apparently the number of TEUs arriving at the ports is also WAY down. We're talking about almost HALF of what it was a few weeks ago. Someone call Kris we need to spin this!

Trucking Troubles: Ground Zero?!

It's not just ships! Apparently all these freight slowdown is affecting trucking companies too. Less ships arriving = less for truckers to transport = less money. They are calling this a "tipping point on the West Coast"...Can you imagine the drama of not having enough trucks to deliver your Kylie Skin?! I'm gonna need to check on my delivery!

Canceled Sailings?! No Way Jose!

So these ocean carriers (basically the big shipping companies) are straight up canceling sailings from China. I guess it's all about balancing the decrease in orders with the trade war drama. Like even *they* can't keep up! They are canceling rates from 10 to 25%...but honestly anything over 1% to me is too much!

Rise and Shine or Recession?!

So what does this all mean? Honestly I don't know. But it sounds serious. And anything that threatens my lip kit empire is serious business. I'm hoping this whole trade war thing gets sorted out soon because like I have a brand to run! And I need all the ships and trucks I can get! Hopefully I will not have to sell one of my many homes to survive this recession! But I am keeping an eye on the prices of Birkin bags they are like my investments!
