Okay dolls lemme break it down for you. So like the U.S. and China were like totally fighting over tariffs right? It was giving me major anxiety. But guess what? They're calling a truce! I'm like 'Are you serious?' This is better than finding out you have a free glam session with Ariel. Apparently they had some serious talks in Switzerland and decided to like chill out for a bit. We love to see it!

125% to 10%? That's a Major Glow Up!

So like these "reciprocal" tariffs were at 125% – can you even imagine? That's like more than the number of lip kits I've launched. But now they're dropping them to 10%! Okay math was never my strongest subject but even I know that's a huge difference! Except hold up – there's still a 20% duty on fentanyl related Chinese imports so the total tariffs are at 30%. I mean I guess you can't win 'em all right?

Switzerland: The New Go To for Peace Talks (and Chocolate)

U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent was all "We had very productive talks and I believe that the venue here in Lake Geneva added great equanimity to what was a very positive process." Okay I had to Google "equanimity," but apparently Switzerland just has that vibe. Like maybe I need to host all my business meetings there? Imagine Kris Jenner negotiating deals while surrounded by chocolate and mountains. Iconic!

90 Days of No Drama (Hopefully)

Bessent also said they agreed on a "90 day pause and substantially move down the tariff levels." Ninety days? That's like a whole season! Hopefully this gives them enough time to like actually figure things out. Both sides are promising to keep talking about economic and trade policy so fingers crossed this isn't just a temporary fix. Like let's not have another 'rise and shine' situation okay?

Stock Market's Doing the Lip Kit Launch Dance!

Investors are like freaking out in the best way possible. Apparently Nasdaq futures are expected to jump 3.6% the S&P 500 futures are up 2.8% and the Dow is going up like almost 1,000 points! Okay I don't totally understand it but it sounds like good news right? And the U.S. dollar is also like doing its own thing and rising. It's a whole party in the stock market and everyone's invited (except maybe the tariffs)!

The pan European Stoxx 600 index is also up. I’m not an expert but it seems like everyone is getting that good energy now. This is a like developing situation so stay tuned for more updates besties!
