Okay dolls so apparently there's this whole drama with Huawei and chips. Like the US is trying to keep them from getting the super duper advanced ones. But like according to Chinese state media Huawei's CEO Ren Zhengfei is all chill about it. He's basically saying 'Don't worry we got this!' It's giving major 'I'm not like a regular chipmaker I'm a cool chipmaker' vibes. And honey If I know something about getting what I want it's Huawei right now!

Math is the New Black (and Apparently Beats Physics)

So Huawei's investing a cool $25 billion in research every year. Like that's more than my entire makeup collection (and that's saying something!). Ren Zhengfei says their single chip is still behind the US by a generation but their strategy is to use mathematics to supplement physics non Moore's law to supplement Moore's law and cluster computing to supplement single chips and the results can also achieve practical conditions. He's all like "We use mathematics to supplement physics". I am like wait what?! It’s like when I contour so hard people think I got new cheekbones but like with chips. Genius! Totally going to use that line next time someone asks me about Kylie Cosmetics.

Cluster Computing? Sounds Like a Fab Dinner Party

Apparently Huawei is all about cluster computing which is basically when a bunch of computers work together. It’s like getting all my besties together to plan the perfect party – more brainpower more fabulousness! It turns out that you can supplement single chips with cluster computing and the results can also achieve practical conditions. They're basically building a super brain one chip at a time. I need to try this with my businesses. Like imagine Kylie Cosmetics Kylie Skin and Kylie Baby all collaborating? It's going to be HUGE!

Huawei vs. Nvidia: The Real Chip Feud

Okay so there's this whole competition thing going on between Huawei and Nvidia especially with AI chips. Apparently Huawei's Ascend series is giving Nvidia a run for its money. But the US Commerce Department is like not happy about it. It's like when I launch a new lip kit and everyone else is scrambling to catch up. Except you know with way more tech stuff involved. But a new system that links 384 Ascend 910C chips which has been described by analysts as able to outperform Nvidia's GB200 NVL72 system on some metrics. It's savage.

Theory is the New Black

Ren also said a third of Huawei's research spending goes to theoretical research. He says "Without theory there will be no breakthroughs and we will not catch up with the United States." This is major. It's like me with my makeup looks. People always think it's just about the products but it's about the whole vision the creativity the *theory* behind it all! I live for this type of tea.

So yeah Huawei's basically saying they're not backing down. They're using math clusters and a whole lot of research to stay ahead of the game. And honestly that's the Jenner way!
