Boy Do I Hate Lagging Sales!
Hmph. Kering. A name whispered in hushed tones like the name of a defeated god. Their shares they plummet faster than I fall from Olympus. But now a new warrior rises. Luca de Meo they call him. A veteran of… automobiles. Not quite the blood and thunder I prefer but perhaps he knows a thing or two about turning a chariot around. They say Gucci has lost its luster and their sales have become weak. Such weakness disgusts me. A change is needed or the house of Kering will fall.
From Renault to Riches? Bah!
This de Meo he leaves Renault a land where… cars are made. I do not understand these mortal contraptions. Apparently he made them… better? The analysts those babbling fools praise his 'track record.' He supposedly made their shares rise. Rise I tell you! Like the blades of chaos they must rise! I care nothing for cars but for Gucci to rise. These fashion houses they spend like Zeus after too much ambrosia. Their shares go down over 60%! I can only imagine the chaos if they were in charge of Olympus.
Succession Games: A Throne of Threads
François Henri Pinault the current… chieftain of Kering seeks a successor. He wishes to split the roles. A wise decision perhaps. Even a god knows when to delegate the less… stimulating tasks. Pinault must find someone worthy to lead someone who will stop the bleeding of this house before the ghost of his failure haunts him. A man cannot cling to power forever or he will become a pathetic shadow of his former self.
The Burden of Gucci: A Price Too High?
Gucci the failing brand which I find utterly pathetic is a weight around Kering’s neck. Sales plummet. Profits wane. It is a plague spreading through their empire. De Meo must revitalize this Gucci or he will find himself facing my Blades of Chaos. The analysts whisper of challenges of consumer preferences of investments. Bah! All noise. What is needed is strength. And perhaps a new line of battle armor.
Innovation? More Like Desperation!
They say De Meo embraced technological innovation at Renault. As if technology can solve everything. In my day problems were solved with strength with the edge of a blade not with buttons and flickering screens. However if these trinkets can restore Gucci to its former glory then perhaps there is some value in them. But do not mistake my words for weakness; I still prefer the thrill of battle.
The Prophecy of Profit: Can He Deliver?
The analysts those irritating mortals predict a 'significant multiple re rating' if De Meo succeeds. They speak of revenue cash flow and brand rejuvenation. I care little for their jargon. I care only for results. If De Meo can stop the losses and lead Kering to victory then perhaps he will earn my respect. But if he fails he will face my wrath. *Boy! Get me my blades*.
