Another Day Another War... Trade War!

They pulled me back in! Back into the trade war! Seems like some folks never learn. Trump's been slapping tariffs around like I slap around bad guys with a rusty pipe. Companies thought they were smart moving out of China trying to dodge the bullets. But now these 'reciprocal' tariffs... they're like a Claymore mine hitting everyone in the blast radius. You try to be a sheep they try to shear you.

Vietnam? Taiwan? More Like 'Nam BUSTED!

This Steve Greenspon guy from Honey Can Do International he's whining like a pup caught in a bear trap. Moved his stuff to Vietnam thought he was clever. Now tariffs on Taiwan and Vietnam? He says it's 'crushing,' 'disappointing.' Welcome to the jungle pal. This ain't 'Rambo: First Blood Part II' where you get a second chance. What is steel without the fire to temper it?!. Companies are scramblin'. 'Course moving back to the U.S.? He says no way. Too expensive. Sounds like someone hasn't learned to adapt. They want me to make them like me.

'China Plus One' Strategy? More Like 'China Plus NONE'!

This 'China Plus One' strategy... bunch of hogwash! Companies thought they could outsmart the system. Eswar Prasad calls it 'severely undercut.' That's professor talk for 'you're screwed.' They tried to reroute through Vietnam India... now those routes are blown to hell. Like trying to cross a field while some trigger happy hillbilly takes potshots at you. I'm expendable I can take it! But they are not ready for war.

Apple Gets Bitten!

Even Apple's feeling the heat. Producing more in India Vietnam? Now they're getting taxed harder than a Wall Street banker. India Vietnam Taiwan... they're getting slammed. China? Absolutely obliterated. Prasad says this whole thing is 'decimating' supply chains. News Flash: war is hell even trade wars. In the jungle you do what you have to do!

Uncertainty: The Only Certainty

This Daniel Newman guy says the tariffs might not stick. That Trump might bargain. Great. So everyone's just sitting around waiting for the next explosion. Newman says CEOs are talking about their 'workarounds being problematic.' Translation: they're panicking. You know I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time like tears in rain.

Reshoring? Friend Shoring? More Like 'Head Shoring'!

They're talking about 'reshoring' to the U.S. 'friend shoring' to buddy countries. Sure why not? Moving factories? Easy peasy! NOT. Arthur Dong says it takes years! Years! And it ain't just about moving the metal. It's about supplies infrastructure workers. Companies have a tough call. Or they could just 'ride out the storm,' hoping things change. That's what I did in Hope Washington. Didn't work out so well. Live for nothing or die for something!
