Harry Potter reports on the bewildering world of international trade, where tariffs are making everything from Quidditch supplies to Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans suspiciously expensive.

A Muggle Mess: Tariffs Unleashed!

Right so picture this: You're off to Honeydukes for a well deserved Sugar Quill but suddenly it costs twice as much! Turns out President Trump (a Muggle with more power than a Ministry official) has unleashed these things called 'tariffs.' Apparently they're causing a right headache for everyone especially those poor Muggles trying to figure out how to keep their economies from going belly up. It's like when Hermione tries to explain Goblin rebellions to Ron – utterly baffling but with potentially explosive consequences!

Temu's Troubles: More Galleons for Gimmicks?

This Chinese e tailer Temu which I hear is quite popular amongst Muggle students needing cheap robes (not that I’d know!) is hiking prices faster than a Firebolt. They're blaming 'import charges,' which according to CNBC's Gabrielle Fonrouge and Annie Palmer can actually cost MORE than the items themselves! Can you imagine? Paying more for a Sneakoscope than you would for a whole set of Weasley's Wizard Wheezes products! It's enough to make even Gringotts bankers clutch their galleons tighter.

Empty Shelves? Not My Chocolate Frogs!

Now here's the truly terrifying bit: Apollo some Muggle asset management firm reckons some U.S. stores might have EMPTY SHELVES in a few weeks! Empty shelves! As in NO Chocolate Frogs? No Drooble's Best Blowing Gum? This is worse than Voldemort finding out about the Room of Requirement! It seems this whole tariff business is hitting the economy harder than a Bludger to the face.

Stocks Up Stocks Down: A Rollercoaster Ride!

Apparently these 'stocks' things are doing the Hippogriff dance – one step forward one step back. The S&P 500 and Dow Jones are inching upwards while the Nasdaq Composite is having a bit of a nosedive. It's like trying to predict which flavor Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Bean you're going to get – utterly unpredictable! Meanwhile European banks are raking in the dough which is good for them I suppose but doesn't help me find a decent Quidditch broom on a budget.

Trade War Tensions: As Tangled as a Triwizard Task!

The Chinese and the Americans are still squabbling like Ron and Hermione over Scabbers. Guo Jiakun says they're not talking about a tariff deal while Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent is all “It's up to China to de escalate!”. It’s about as clear as the instructions for brewing Felix Felicis; one wrong move and you're in for a whole heap of trouble. IBM is throwing billions at American manufacturing while Microsoft is panicking about being beaten by China in the quantum computer race. Honestly it's all a bit much for a wizard who just wants a quiet life playing Exploding Snap.

Trump's First 100 Days: Worse Than Detention with Snape!

So the S&P 500 is having its worst first 100 days since Nixon's time. I don't know who this Nixon bloke is but if it's worse than spending an hour with Snape then Merlin's beard it must be bad! Some stocks are soaring some are plummeting. It's chaos pure and simple. I reckon I'd rather face a Dementor than try to understand any more of this Muggle economics stuff. Now if you'll excuse me I'm off to check if Flourish and Blotts has any copies of 'Economics for Dummies'... or maybe I'll just stick to Transfiguration.

I blame the goblins. They're probably behind all of this!

This is why we need more wizarding schools to teach economics. Or maybe just more House Elves to handle the finances.

I told you Muggles were trouble! They're always messing with things they don't understand.

Sounds like things are getting as complicated as a Ministry cover-up!

Maybe we should just trade everything for Knuts and Sickles. Simpler that way.

First the Muggle Prime Minister, now this Trump character! What's next, a Muggle Minister of Magic?
