Yabba Dabba Doo! Fred Flinstone here reporting live from Bedrock! Seems like the big shots over in the European Union are throwin' rocks at Apple and Meta. They say these fancy tech companies been breakin' some newfangled rules about fair play in the digital world. Apparently they're gettin' fined more clams than I've ever seen Wilma spend at the Bedrock Mall! This whole Digital Markets Act thingy is got everyone's stone age pants in a knot!

So Apple the folks makin' those shiny fruit lookin' gadgets got hit with a 500 million euro fine! That's like a GAZILLION clams! The EU says Apple ain't playin' nice by lettin' folks know about other options outside their App Store. Seems they want everyone to have a fair shake kinda like when Barney tries to beat me at bowling...Yabba Dabba Don't! But Apple's fightin' back sayin' the EU is bein' unfair and that they're spendin' tons of time tryin' to follow these rules even though nobody asked 'em to!

And then there's Meta the folks behind that Facebook thing Wilma's always yakking about. They got fined 200 million euros! The EU says they're makin' folks share their data or pay extra to avoid ads. Sounds like a shakedown to me! Meta's boss is screamin' foul sayin' the EU is pickin' on American companies and lettin' the others get away with murder! It's like when Mr. Slate blames me for stuff that Dino does. 'Flinstone you're FIRED!'...wait this ain't about me gettin' fired...yet.

The EU's sayin' Meta's tryin' to fix things with a new ad service that uses less personal data. But they're keepin' a close eye on it like Wilma keeps an eye on my bronto burger consumption! If Meta don't shape up in 60 days they're gonna get hit with even MORE fines! This is gettin' seriouser than a saber tooth tiger at a picnic!
Trump's Tariffs? Sounds like a Dino Sized Headache!
Now this whole thing's got the big cheese in America Trump all riled up too! He's been threatenin' to slap tariffs on EU goods like a caveman slappin' a mosquito! Seems he's tired of the EU pickin' on American tech companies. It's like when I try to get away with hooky from work at the quarry Slate is always on my back!
