Make Europe Great Again? Sounds like a catchy jingle!

Yabba Dabba Doo! Heard some fellas talkin' 'bout makin' Europe great again or MEGA at some fancy shindig last week. Reminds me of when Wilma tried to make our house great again after Dino chewed up the couch. Turns out some big shot from Apollo is lookin' to throw a hundred BILLION clams into Germany! That's more than I've spent on bronto burgers in my whole life! He says everyone in the US of A and Europe are seeing the potential for investments in private equity and credit. Makes a fella wonder if maybe I should start investin' too! But in what? Bronto Burgers?

Lendin' a Hand... or a boulder sized loan!

This Zelter fella also mentioned somethin' 'bout direct lendin' and real estate. Apparently there's not enough houses in Spain and the U.K. Maybe I should build 'em some rock condos! Bet they'd be sturdy. And Germany? Well he says his hundred billion could wake up the whole continent to finance industry military and all sorts of important stuff. Sounds like they're gonna need a lot of rock quarries for construction. Good for business Yabba Dabba Doo!

Politicians Playin' with Rocks (and Money!)

The German government is all for this. They need some help with their infrastructure and they're hopin' private capital can lend a hand. Or a boulder sized loan I reckon! Apparently they changed some rules to create a massive fund for defense infrastructure and climate stuff. Sounds like they're gonna be busy! And they've got a new Chancellor called Friedrich Merz who’s been hobnobbin’ with that fella Trump tryin' to make friends and get more support for... well I ain't gonna get into all that!

Bye Bye America Hello Europe!

This Rocha Scaff dame from Neuberger Berman says a lot of investors were puttin' their eggs in the American basket expectin' things to be great over there only to have Trump throw a wrench into things with his tariff policies. (sounds like one of Fred's crazy ideas!) So now all that money is comin' to Europe instead. She says her firm is 'actively investing in the market'. She says Europe makes up around 65% of direct investment activity this year. Things lookin' good for the continent!

Europe's stocks are rockin'!

And it ain't just private investors. Even the stock market is gettin' in on the action! The German DAX index is up 22% this year! Meanwhile the Dow Jones is barely movin'! The Aerospace and Defense Index is up nearly 50%! Meanwhile some fancy 'Magnificent 7' tech giants in America are goin' down the drain! Guess the future is lookin' bright for Europe! Maybe I should buy some stocks too! But which ones? Hmmm... maybe I should ask Barney.

Heard somethin' about new ways for regular Joes like you and me to invest in private credit through some fancy exchange traded funds or ETFs. Sounds complicated but apparently State Street and Apollo Global Management even launched their own ETF. But these experts are warnin' that private markets are tricky and can be risky!
