A Schrute Farms Pandemic Precaution?

Attention pathetic humans! Dwight K. Schrute here Regional Assistant Manager AND Assistant Regional Manager ready to deliver the hard truths. The World Health Organization or as I like to call them the 'World Health Observers,' have finally emerged from their bunkers with a legally binding agreement to prepare the world for future pandemics. Did it take a microscopic menace to knock some sense into them? Yes! But as I always say 'Whenever I'm about to do something I think 'Would an idiot do that?' And if they would I do not do that thing.' Clearly the WHO has finally stopped acting like an idiot. This is bigger than beet futures; this is about survival!

Pathogen Protection: A Schrute Family Specialty

The agreement focuses on preventing future outbreaks and increasing global collaboration. Sounds fancy right? Well it should! They're talking about sharing access to pathogens and building research facilities across the globe. This is what I've been doing on Schrute Farms for years! Okay maybe not the research facilities but I've definitely got my own methods of pathogen control. As any good beet farmer knows you must respect the land and the microscopic creatures that dwell within. And occasionally threaten them with scarecrows.

Logistics Like a Volunteer Sheriff's Deputy

A global supply chain and logistics network? Finally! Someone is catching onto my level of preparedness. I have emergency kits stashed everywhere. My car the office the beet fields. Each kit contains essential items like beet juice iodine tablets and a Schrute Farms first aid manual. I am basically a pandemic planning wizard. This is a victory for all preparedness minded citizens. As I always say "Beets. Bears. Battlestar Galactica."

The WHO vs. Donald Trump: A Dwight Schrute Analysis

Now let's address the elephant in the room – the United States' slow dance to the starting line and ultimate departure from the negotiation floor orchestrated by none other than President Donald Trump. Look I respect authority but sometimes even authority figures make questionable choices. Withdrawing from the WHO is like firing your best salesman during a sales contest! Foolish! However even without the U.S. the WHO managed to hash out an agreement. This proves that as I've always suspected the world doesn't need the U.S. it needs Schrute Farms. Okay that might be a bit of hyperbole but you get my point.

A Victory? Or Another Fire Drill?

The WHO is calling this a 'major step forward.' I Dwight K. Schrute am cautiously optimistic. Is this a true commitment to global health security or will it be another empty promise? Only time will tell. But I'm ready. I've got my beets my bear repellent and my Battlestar Galactica knowledge. Bring on the next pandemic. I will prevail. Just like I always prevail... in sales of course. And in beet harvesting. And in paintball.

May's Assembly: Make or Break Time!

The proposal will be considered at the World Health Assembly in May. That is the day where the world will know if this all has been for naught or the greatest day in the history of pandemics! I will be watching closely probably from my farm while simultaneously making sure my doomsday shelter is complete and fully stocked. Because remember 'Dunder Mifflin this is Dwight. You're good to go.'
