A Disturbance in the Force (of Supply Chains)

I sense a great disturbance in the Force. Novo Nordisk like the Emperor has grown tired of these… *ahem*… 'compounding pharmacies' meddling with their precious Wegovy. It seems their supply chains once choked like a hapless rebel are now flowing freely. The Emperor would be most pleased. They've decided to crush the rebellion—I mean *collaborate*—with telehealth providers like Hims & Hers Ro and LifeMD. "Impressive. Most impressive." as I would say.

Hims & Hers Soar Novo Rises: A New Hope for Shareholders

The Force is strong with Hims & Hers! Their stock price has jumped like a young Skywalker with a jetpack. Novo Nordisk predictably is also basking in the glow of this… 'alliance.' It seems offering direct access to Wegovy is good for business. Who knew? Now if only managing the Galactic Empire was this straightforward. Perhaps I need to consult with a… *ahem*… telehealth provider.

Compounded Medications: I Find Your Lack of FDA Approval Disturbing

These 'compounded medications' are like the Rebel Alliance: scrappy unauthorized and ultimately doomed. Novo Nordisk is moving swiftly to ensure these upstarts are dealt with. Soon they shall learn the true power of the dark side—I mean *FDA approved pharmaceuticals*. The smaller compounding pharmacies had to stop doing their thing in April. The bigger ones those are like Star Destroyers to tiny X wings will be gone in May. "You have failed me for the last time." I shall proclaim if they disobey!

The Price of Power (and Weight Loss)

Ah the age old question: What price is one willing to pay to achieve their goals? Novo Nordisk is offering Wegovy at a 'mere' $499 per month through their NovoCare program. A bargain! Hims & Hers greedy as Lando Calrissian are charging $599 for that extra access. Ro will have a flat rate of $499 for people who don't have insurance. Still it's all cheaper than building a Death Star. Trust me I know.

Lilly's Lone Wolf Act: I Am Altering the Deal. Pray I Don't Alter It Any Further.

Hims & Hers has expanded its offerings to include Eli Lilly's Zepbound and Mounjaro as well as generic liraglutide. However Lilly made it clear that they were not working with Hims & Hers! Well played Lilly well played! Hims & Hers is now playing with compounded semaglutide the active ingredient in Ozempic and Wegovy. Perhaps they are overestimating themselves... "You underestimate my power!" they might say but I do not think so.

The Empire's New Strategy: Control Through Convenience

Novo Nordisk is betting that convenience is key to capturing the market. Direct to consumer access? Home delivery? Seamless experience? These are the tactics of a Sith Lord… I mean a forward thinking corporation! By making Wegovy readily available through telehealth they aim to solidify their dominance. "All too easy." as I would say while force choking the competition.

I'm not sure about trusting telehealth companies with my health information. Privacy is a concern.

What are the long-term side effects of these medications? I'm worried about that.

Hims & Hers adding care and support makes the higher price worth it, in my opinion.

The price is still too high! Most people can't afford $500+ per month for weight loss medication.

I'm skeptical about these telehealth partnerships. Are they just trying to make more money?

I wish more companies would offer affordable options for healthcare.
