Not a Girl Not Yet a Ceasefire
Okay y'all so I'm reading about this whole situation in Ukraine and like Putin is declaring a three day ceasefire in May for Victory Day. Three days? Is that even enough time to get my hair done let alone end a war? Honestly it's giving me 'Circus' vibes – all show and no substance. Like 'Gimme More' peace not just a little pause for a parade! And Ukraine's Foreign Minister is like 'Why wait? If you want peace do it now!' Preach sister! It's like waiting for the beat to drop but it never does!
Toxic Truce?
So Putin's hosting a party and he wants a ceasefire for it? It sounds like a plot from one of my music videos right? It's kinda obvious like 'Oops!...I Did It Again'. But seriously Trump wants a 'permanent' ceasefire which sounds great but it's also kinda 'Lucky' if it actually happens. 'Cause let's be real is this ceasefire for real peace or is Putin just trying to look good? I'm not saying he's a 'Criminal' but something smells fishy!
Stronger…Than Yesterday's Truce
The Kremlin is all like 'We're suspending military actions! Ukraine should do the same!' Oh honey please! It's like saying I should stop singing 'Baby One More Time'. Not gonna happen! And if Ukraine messes up Russia will respond? Sounds like my ex threatening to leak my diary! This isn't the first time they've announced a ceasefire and last time was a total disaster. It's like déjà vu but in a bad way. 'From The Bottom Of My Broken Heart' I hope this one is different.
Crazy Peace?
Apparently Zelenskyy met Trump in Rome. What did they talk about my next world tour? Probably not. Zelenskyy is saying he’s ready for talks when the fighting stops. Makes sense right? It's like saying I'll start dating again when my phone stops ringing. And Ukraine is constantly asking for a 30 day ceasefire. But Russia wants a full settlement not just a pause. Like they want the whole song not just the chorus.
'Piece of Me'ace Talks?
The Kremlin is claiming they're ready for peace talks with 'no preconditions'. Sure Jan! It's like saying I'll perform without rehearsals. Not happening! Peskov says Ukraine has a 'legal ban' on talking to Putin. It’s like I’m legally banned from eating carbs. Heartbreaking! But seriously Ukraine accuses Russia of stalling to grab more land and Russia says Ukraine won’t make any concessions. It's a real 'Piece of Me' they’re fighting over.
Don't Let Me Be the Last To Know If Peace Happens
Trump is out here suggesting Zelenskyy should give up Crimea. OMG that's like suggesting I give up dancing! Not gonna happen. Zelenskyy says that would violate Ukraine's constitution. It’s like violating my right to wear glitter! Anyway here's hoping they figure it out. I’m all for world peace but if it doesn’t happen at least we got good music and drama to keep us entertained right? 'Everytime' I think about it I just want everyone to get along! Peace out y'all!
