Hey guys! It's Britney! So I saw this article and it's like totally about President Trump and his whole tariff thing. Apparently some people are calling it the 'TACO trade,' which stands for 'Trump Always Chickens Out.' Seriously? Chickening out? Sounds like someone needs a little 'Stronger' in their life! I mean I get it negotiating is hard like trying to learn the choreography for 'Slave 4 U' in like five minutes. But is he really backing down or is it all just a big game? Let's dive in shall we?

Oops He Threatened It Again!

So like Trump was all 'I'm gonna put a 50% tariff on the EU!' And everyone freaked out naturally. It's like when I announce a new album and everyone's wondering if it's gonna be another 'Blackout' or something totally different. Then two days later he's like 'Nah just kidding! I'll delay it.' Talk about a rollercoaster! He's saying it's not chickening out it's 'negotiation.' Okay Trump whatever you say. But it definitely got everyone talking kinda like when I shaved my head... iconic right?

Toxic Tariffs?

The article says the stock market went down after Trump threatened the EU with tariffs starting June 1st. Then he delayed it after the European Commission President asked nicely. Suddenly the market's all happy again! It's like a drama movie where the plot twists every five minutes. Is this some kind of economic magic trick? Or is it all just a 'Circus'? Because sometimes it feels like we're all clowns in his show.

Gimme More...Time to Negotiate!

Trump claims that the 50% tariff threat got the U.S. and EU talking trade again. He said 'After I did what I did they said 'We'll meet anytime you want.' You call that chickening out?' Well I call it a power move! But then he complains that if he makes a reasonable deal people will still say he 'chickened out.' Poor guy! It's like when I try to bake a cake and everyone expects it to be a disaster even if it's like totally edible.

Not a Girl Not Yet a Tariff

This isn't the first time Trump's done this whole tariff tango apparently. Remember when he announced 'reciprocal' tariffs on almost every country? Some got hit with like 30% or more! Then a week later after the stock market went bananas he dropped them all to 10% for 90 days. The market had one of the biggest rallies ever. It's like 'Hit me baby one more time' to the economy!

Oops He Did It Again...With China!

And get this the same thing happened with China! He jacked up tariffs to 145% which like totally freaked everyone out. Then he dropped them to 30% after some trade talks. So is this all just a big act? A way to get what he wants? Or is Trump just making it up as he goes along? I guess we'll have to wait and see. But one thing's for sure: it's definitely keeping things interesting! Stay strong my loves and remember: 'If Britney can make it through 2007 you can make it through anything!'
