Gotham's Got Nothing on This Traffic Jam

The news hit my cowl's comms system: Uber's adding Nikesh Arora to their board. Seems the rideshare scene is getting as congested as Gotham on a Friday night. Khosrowshahi calls Arora a 'fierce competitor.' Reminds me of someone else I know...starts with a 'J,' ends with an 'oker.' Anyway Arora gets a cool $60k retainer plus $300k in stock. Not bad for a night's work but where's the fun in that? I work pro bono... and I'm still very rich.

Delivery Departures and Mobility Mayhem

Apparently Uber's delivery head Pierre Dimitri Gore Coty is out after 13 years. Thirteen years! That's like three Joker breakouts in Gotham time. Andrew Macdonald is now President and COO. Overseeing delivery mobility and autonomy... a new definition of being overwhelmed. Khosrowshahi is trying to manage it all with strategy.

Robotaxis Rising: Tesla and Waymo Enter the Fray

Tesla's launching its robotaxi in Austin – June 12th. Waymo's already racking up millions of driverless rides. Weekly rides up 150%! Makes you wonder if the Batmobile will be obsolete soon. I need an upgrade to stay ahead of the curve. I'll start a new line of crime fighting vehicles.

DoorDash's Delivery Domination

DoorDash is also expanding gobbling up Deliveroo and SevenRooms. Everyone wants a piece of the pie. Competition breeds innovation... or desperation. Gotham's criminals are about to be working for food delivery companies I just know it.

The Khosrowshahi Chronicles: From IPO to AI Partnership

Khosrowshahi joined Uber in '17 took them public in '19 and made them profitable by '21. He's even smoothed over some regulatory messes – a feat that would make even Gordon proud. Sold Uber's AV unit to partner with Waymo and Wayve. Smart move but outsourcing always feels like a risk. What if these guys go rogue?

The Future is Autonomous or at Least...Attempting To Be

Arora claims Uber is central to autonomous mobility. A bold statement but as I've learned 'it's not who you are underneath it's what you do that defines you.' Uber's got a long road ahead but with Arora on board maybe they can avoid crashing and burning. I'll keep an eye on things. Gotham's got enough problems without adding self driving cars to the list.
