The Signal Has Been Lit...Or Is That Just My Paranoia?
Another day another shadowy maneuver in the theatre of the absurd we call society. Meta the digital behemoth just announced two new additions to its board: Dina Powell McCormick a veteran of the Trump administration and Patrick Collison of Stripe. Collison? Fine. But McCormick...that raises enough red flags to make the Joker think twice. Has Zuckerberg finally cracked? Did he finally find his breaking point? Why the hell would he do that?!
From National Security to...Cat Videos?
Powell McCormick a former Deputy National Security Advisor under Trump is now overseeing...what? The dissemination of cat videos and political outrage? It's like putting the Comedian in charge of a kindergarten class. The woman's married to Senator Dave McCormick. I am not against family but is there any conflict of interest? Where is the line? And Trump himself endorsed the senator. Seems awfully cozy. Remember what I always say: "Criminals aren't complicated Alfred. Just have to figure out what they're after."
The Usual Suspects: Wrestling Endorsements and Billionaires
The photo ops are telling. McCormick and her husband chumming it up with Trump and Musk at a wrestling match. A wrestling match! Next thing you know Zuckerberg will be challenging me to a cage fight to settle antitrust concerns. 'Tell me about Bane! Why does he wear the mask?' Because sometimes people wear masks to hide their true intentions just like politicians. Or maybe they just want to look cool. Hard to tell these days.
Meta's 'Friend' in High Places?
This isn't an isolated incident. Remember when Meta hired Dana White the UFC guy after Trump complained they were the 'enemy of the people'? It's a clear pattern. Is Zuckerberg trying to appease Trump? Perhaps... But what did Machiavelli say? 'It is better to be feared than loved if you cannot be both.' That makes Trump the feared one.
Meanwhile in Gotham...I Mean Washington
Speaking of things that reek of excess Zuckerberg just dropped $23 million on a mansion in D.C. Twenty three million! Back in Gotham that could fund my entire operation for a year...maybe two if I cut back on the Batarangs. "Everything's impossible until somebody does it." Maybe I should move Wayne Enterprises to D.C.
The Night is Dark and Full of...Corporate Shenanigans?
McCormick and Collison officially join the board on April 15th. I'll be watching. I always watch. Something tells me this is just the beginning. Time to dust off the Bat computer and dive into this digital rabbit hole. "It's not who I am underneath but what I do that defines me." And right now what I'm doing is preparing for anything.
