Hi Dreamhouse friends! Barbie here reporting live from... well not the White House but close enough (my Dreamhouse has better decor anyway!). So President Trump has decided to pull Ed Martin's nomination for the top federal prosecutor gig in DC. It seems even in the real world you can't *always* be anything Ken! Especially if the Senate gives you the side eye.

The Senate Said No! (In a Very 'Professional' Way of Course)

Apparently Mr. Martin was a big supporter of those involved in the January 6th Capitol riot. And Senator Thom Tillis from North Carolina basically said 'Nope not today!' Bye bye bye! I mean you know what they say in Barbieland 'We girls can do anything right?' But this is more like 'Even we can't get around a disapproving Senate!'

Trump's Take: 'He's Terrific But...'

Now President Trump bless his heart said Mr. Martin is a 'terrific person.' But then added and I quote 'He wasn't getting the support.' Oh honey that's politician speak for 'It's not you it's me... I mean the Senate!' Sometimes you have to cut your losses and strut on! "Life in plastic it's fantastic" but politics? Not always as shiny!

Disappointment All Around (Except Maybe in the Senate)
