A Dark Day for Ganon... I Mean Trump
Hylians it appears our world isn't the only one facing challenges. Word from another realm indicates that a certain Donald Trump a leader not unlike a certain King Ganon has suffered a setback in his legal skirmish. He tried to overturn a verdict where he was found liable for shall we say 'inappropriately borrowing' a writer's dignity and then defaming her. Sounds like someone needs a lesson in respecting the Triforce of Courage... and common decency.
The Second Circuit's Song of Storms
The 2nd Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals think of them as the Sheikah monks of the legal world have essentially told Trump 'You shall not pass!' His request for a full court rehearing was denied. Apparently a previous panel had already upheld the verdict ordering him to pay a hefty sum. One might say he's facing a fate worse than being turned into a Cucco by an angry mob. 'Well excuuuuuse me Princess!'... but not really.
Dissenters in the Temple of Time
Now not all the monks agreed. Two dissenting voices appointed by Trump himself claimed the panel strayed from the ancient scrolls of legal precedent. It seems even in the legal world there are those who would try to use the dark arts like Ganondorf trying to steal the Triforce. Remember 'It's dangerous to go alone! Take this.' (of good legal counsel).
E. Jean Carroll's Fairy Fountain Moment
E. Jean Carroll's attorney Roberta Kaplan released a statement saying her client is 'very pleased' with the decision. She noted that Trump's maneuvers have failed and he remains liable. It's like finding a hidden Fairy Fountain after a long dungeon crawl. Sometimes justice does prevail even against a foe as persistent as a swarm of Keese.
The Supreme Court: Trump's Final Boss Battle?
Trump's only remaining option is to appeal to the Supreme Court the ultimate Triforce of legal power. His legal team hinted that he would indeed take this path dismissing the case as a 'Democrat funded Carroll Hoax.' Sounds like someone's blaming the Kokiri for their troubles. But let's be real throwing around accusations is a classic villain move. Almost as predictable as Ganon showing up every few centuries.
Make America Great Again? Sounds Familiar...
The spokesman added that Trump will 'keep winning against Liberal Lawfare' and is focusing on his mission to 'Make America Great Again.' Sounds suspiciously like someone trying to restore their own kingdom after a self inflicted disaster. My advice? Focus on restoring your reputation before attempting to conquer the world... or in this case America. After all even Ganon had a better PR team than this.
