Oh No They Didn't! Flights Canceled to Israel Because...Drama!

Cancelled?! Hold Up Let Me Get My Popcorn

Okay so like remember when I was planning that super cool travel stream to Israel? Yeah well scratch that. Apparently things are getting a little spicy over there. Israel and Iran are having a bit of a disagreement involving missiles and drones. I know right? Drama! This is way more intense than when people argue in my chat about whether or not I'm a 'simp magnet.' Honestly can we not? Anyway all this back and forth has caused airlines to hit the brakes on flights to Tel Aviv. Can you blame them?

Delta and United: Nope Not Today!

Big names like Delta and United were all 'Nah we're good,' and turned their planes around mid flight. Imagine being on that flight! 'Uh captain where are we going?' 'Back where we came from folks! Turns out Israel isn't on the menu today.' El Al the Israeli airline went full on 'suspending service indefinitely.' They're like 'Don't even THINK about booking a flight until the end of June.' They are straight up warning customers 'Stay away from the airport!' That's when you KNOW it's serious. It's giving me major 'my internet is down during a live stream' panic vibes.

Turkish Airlines and Wizz Air Join the Party (of Cancellations)

It's not just the American airlines. Turkish Airlines and Wizz Air also noped out of there. And Lufthansa is playing it extra safe suspending flights to Tel Aviv and Tehran until July. July! That's like forever in streamer time. They're even avoiding Jordan and Lebanon. Basically the whole Middle East airspace is looking like a 'no fly zone.' I'm starting to think I should just stick to streaming from my room. Less chance of getting caught in an international incident you know?

Travel Vouchers and Change Fees? Bless Their Hearts!

At least the airlines are trying to make things right. They're handing out travel vouchers and waiving change fees like it's Halloween candy. 'Here have a voucher! Sorry your vacation got canceled because of potential war!' I mean I appreciate the gesture but maybe just world peace would be a better solution? Just a thought.

Blame Game: Middle East and Ukraine Edition

So what's the deal? Well it's all about avoiding conflict zones. The Middle East is having its moment and Ukraine is still unfortunately dealing with its own issues. This means airlines are taking the long way around which costs more money and time. It's like when I try to avoid drama on Twitter. Sometimes you just gotta take the scenic route even if it's more complicated.

Looks like my travel plans are on hold. No Dead Sea selfies or hummus reviews for now. Instead I'll be right here in front of my computer streaming and probably drinking too much boba.
