A Billion Dollar Avalanche!
Right then darlings! Seems like everyone's favourite data crunching cloud Snowflake had a bit of a windfall. The share price jumped higher than I would if I saw a perfectly preserved Mayan temple...or maybe just a well stocked library. They’ve actually crossed the $1 billion mark in sales for the quarter. Talk about hitting the mother lode! Who needs ancient artifacts when you've got data doing this well?
Raiding the Revenue Tomb!
Their revenue is up 26% to a staggering $1.04 billion. Looks like someone's been brushing up on their treasure hunting skills! All that revenue makes me wonder if they found the lost city of El Data rado. Move over Atlantis there's a new hidden treasure in town!
The AI Ace Up Their Sleeve
Ah artificial intelligence the new shiny bauble everyone's after. Snowflake’s been sprinkling some AI magic into their cloud platform and wouldn't you know it it's drawing in the crowds. Apparently 11,000 customers are now happily crunching data. I suspect that it has something to do with discovering new tombs as well. After all even Lara Croft needs help sometimes.
Churn Concerns? More Like Churned Butter!
Now there were whispers of customer churn but it seems Snowflake pulled two $100 million deals out of thin air. The analysts at Cantor are practically doing cartwheels claiming 'churn concerns were abated.' 'Abated'? Sounds like something you'd say after escaping a collapsing pyramid. I can relate. The firm also noted the company will continue to execute a beat and raise strategy. That makes two of us.
Analysts Go Wild and I Mean REALLY Wild
Cantor analysts reiterated their buy recommendation on the stock exclaiming “confidence Snowflake should continue to execute on a beat and raise strategy as the year progresses and continue to show leverage in the model.” That sounds like something I would say when raiding a tomb full of booby traps: Calculated confident and very very prepared.
Up Up and Away!
With this rally Snowflake shares have shot up 29% this year! While the Nasdaq is sulking with a 2% loss. Someone get the poor Nasdaq a cup of tea and a biscuit. Honestly I haven’t seen this kind of upward trajectory since I discovered the secret passage in that temple in Cambodia. Now if you'll excuse me I've got some investing to do. As they say 'I make my own luck.'
