The world's richest man starts a political party post-breakup, focusing on a few key races. Meanwhile, Trump's tariffs loom, OPEC+ boosts oil output, and CEOs rethink their strategies.

From Heartbreak to House Seats?

Right so apparently when us mortals face a relationship crisis we might oh I don't know take up pottery or finally learn to parallel park. But when you're Elon Musk you start a political party. Because who needs a therapist when you can have a Senate seat? He calls it the 'American Party,' because originality is clearly overrated when you're busy launching rockets right? I mean I've seen more creative names scrawled on ancient cave walls during my adventures. Seems like he's aiming for a few very specific congressional races... because apparently colonizing Mars isn't enough of a challenge.

X Marks the Spot (for Democracy?)

Apparently this whole 'American Party' idea was born from a Twitter poll. Yes you read that right. Direct democracy via social media. I'm picturing Musk sitting in a leather chair sipping something expensive and dramatically declaring 'The people have spoken! I shall form a political party!' All based on a whim a prayer and a social media poll. You'd think someone who deals with rocket science might apply a bit more rigor. Still if it works for the Romans it works for Space X?

Tariff Troubles: A Boomerang of Bad News?

Speaking of potential disasters Trump's tariffs are back on the table. He's postponed the deadline but it sounds like a sword of Damocles dangling precariously over everyone's heads. 'Take it or leave it' offers going out to a dozen countries... This is starting to sound like my last bartering session with some shady arms dealer in Kazakhstan. I tell you you are never sure what to expect these days.

Oil's Well That Ends Well (Maybe?)

OPEC+ is pumping up the volume on oil production. More oil more problems right? I'm just saying more fossil fuels mean more opportunities for future eco disasters that I'll inevitably have to prevent. It's all connected you see. From political parties to petroleum policies it's all a big tangled web waiting for me to sort it out.

European Equities: Wall Street's Warning Sign?

Wall Street is getting jittery about European stocks. Apparently the Stoxx 600 is looking shaky. Which makes me wonder is there a treasure map hidden somewhere in those shaky foundations? Because I'm always up for a good treasure hunt especially if it involves thwarting some nefarious plot by a power hungry corporation or Trinity College...

CEOs: It's Not About Winning It's About Not Screwing Up?

And finally apparently CEOs are having an existential crisis. It's not just about winning anymore; it's about navigating a 'minefield' of geopolitical shocks economic chaos and rapidly changing technology. McLaren Racing's CEO is apparently advocating for urgency momentum and learning from failure. It's all about adapting. Much like I do when rappelling down a cliff face while being shot at by heavily armed goons. Some people have to find their adrenaline kick from treasure hunting and archaeology I suppose. Life's what you make it.
