A surge in car buying driven by tariff fears is depleting inventories, potentially leading to higher prices and fewer choices for consumers. Kratos, the Ghost of Sparta, weighs in on this automotive apocalypse.

The Gods of Commerce Are Angry!

Hmph. The mortals scramble like ants before a storm. They fear… tariffs. These… 'tariffs'… are like Poseidon’s wrath unleashed upon the shores of Greece! Apparently these metal beasts these 'cars,' are becoming scarce. The 'experts' say people are buying them faster than Hephaestus can forge a new axe for me! 91 days of these contraptions sat idle. Now? Only 70. A paltry number! It is said that the increase in sales is good for the automotive industry. Bah! Good for them but what of the consumer? What of the common man who merely seeks to travel from one place to another without being devoured by mythical beasts? They will suffer the price of these… 'tariffs'.

Fear the Grind to Halt!

These… 'analysts'… whisper of doom. They claim a 'grinding halt' to sales like the slow crush of the Titan Cronos. Apparently once these dealers exhaust their stockpile of untaxed vehicles the realm of automobiles will descend into chaos! Two million fewer vehicles sold annually? By the gods! Even I Kratos struggled to comprehend such numbers. They say it is the fault of increased production costs and other… factors. Factors! Such vague terms are the weapons of cowards!

Trump and His Labyrinthine Plans!

This… 'Trump'… sounds like a particularly annoying Harpy. He speaks of 'helping' car companies. Help? What help? Does he offer them the Blade of Olympus to smite their competition? Does he gift them with the Boots of Hermes to outrun the rising costs? No! He merely… speaks. Empty words are as useless as a broken shield against the might of Zeus!

Employee Pricing? More Like Slave Labor!

These… 'automakers'… offer 'employee pricing.' Bah! It is but a thinly veiled attempt to lure unsuspecting mortals into their web. They dangle the promise of savings while quietly sharpening the knives of higher prices to come. Beware such deals! They are as treacherous as the Sirens’ song!

The Price of Speed is High!

These 'dealers' speak of increased volume but decreased profits. They claim 'price conscious' customers flood their showrooms. It seems even in this modern age mortals are driven by greed and fear. They seek to outsmart the system only to find themselves trapped in its gears. Even the great Kratos cannot always be right sometimes you need to go through the eye of the storm to be stronger.

Wait and See BOY!

The future remains uncertain. This 'Nick Anderson' speaks of waiting 60 to 90 days to see the effects of these… tariffs. Patience is a virtue BOY! Though not one I often practice. But perhaps just perhaps there is still time to find a bargain before the automotive apocalypse descends. Do not be consumed by greed or allow it to consume you.
