Hot Off the Press: A Stone Age Scoop!

Yabba Dabba Doo! Fred Flinstone here your favorite Bedrock newsman bringing you the latest scoop straight from the… uh… modern stone age! This fella Lutnick some big shot in charge of… uh… commerce stuff says these things called 'tariffs' are gonna stick around. Seems like these tariffs are like Wilma's stew – you either love 'em or… well you still gotta eat 'em!

Ten Percent? That's a Whole Lotta Clams!

Lutnick he's saying there's gonna be a 10% tariff on stuff coming in from other lands. Ten percent! That’s almost enough to buy a whole brontosaurus burger! He says this is all thanks to President… uh… what was his name again? Oh yeah President Trump! Sounds like a character I'd see down at the Water Buffalo Lodge! "Remember Fred vote early and vote often!"

Who Pays the Price? Not Fred!

Now this Lutnick fella claims that businesses and foreign countries are gonna be the ones coughin' up the clams. But I ain't so sure. Last time I heard somethin' like that Barney ended up "borrowing" my bowling ball… and never returned it! Data suggests the prices are going up and consumer confidence is in the pits. It’s enough to make a grown caveman cry!

Household Items? More Like Dino hold Items!

Heard that the price of some household items has also already ticked up. I hope my Dino hold items are safe! And I hope Wilma has enough money to buy some Bronto Ribs for dinner! What is next? The prices of rocks will also increase?

Compete Like a Caveman!

Lutnick also said businesses should try to sell to the American consumer. Domestically produced products are not going to have that tariff so the foreigners are going to finally have to compete. This is fair. I like this but can we do something about Wilma always buying from the market that is the most expensive? What a riot!

Yabba Dabba Doo or Yabba Dabba Don't?

So there you have it folks! Tariffs are here to stay at least for a while. Will it be a Yabba Dabba Doo kinda future filled with cheap bronto burgers and happy cavemen? Or will it be a… well… a big ol' 'D'oh!' moment? Only time will tell! Fred Flinstone signing off! Yabba Dabba Doo!
