Yabba Dabba Doo! Supreme Court Justice Souter Takes the Big Sleep!

Holy Brontosaurus Burgers!

Yabba Dabba Doo! Fred Flintstone here bringin' ya the news straight from Bedrock! Seems like ol' Justice David Souter kicked the bucket over in New Hampshire. The fellas at the Supreme Court said so themselves. He was 85 years old which in dinosaur years is like…well REALLY old! I tell ya time flies faster than Dino chasing a slab of ribs!

A Republican...Gone Liberal?!

Now this Souter fella was a Republican just like my buddy Barney Rubble thinks he is (though Barney probably thinks a gavel is a new kind of bowling ball). But here's the kicker! This Souter he kept those other Republicans scratching their heads like Wilma when I try to explain the rules of poker. He'd side with the liberals on some cases like that Planned Parenthood thing. Reminds me of the time I tried to bake a cake – ended up lookin' like somethin' Dino coughed up!

Bush v. Gore: A Real Bedrock Brouhaha!

And then there was that whole mess with Bush and Gore. Souter sided with the fellas who wanted to count all the votes but it didn't go their way. It was a real Bedrock brouhaha I tell ya! Made me wanna yell 'Wilmaaaaa!' just from the confusion of it all.

Retirement and Back to Work!?

So Souter retired kinda early which let that Obama fella pick a new judge. Then get this even in retirement he kept judgin' cases! Just like me tryin' to relax after a long day at the quarry somethin' always pulls ya back in!

Roberts Speaks!

The head honcho at the Supreme Court this Chief Justice Roberts fella he said Souter was a real stand up guy. Said he was wise and kind just like when I try to give advice to Pebbles (usually ends in disaster though). Roberts also said Souter kept workin' hard even after retirement which let's be honest is more than I can say for myself most days!

From Harvard to the Supreme Court!

Turns out this Souter fella was a real smart cookie. Went to fancy schools like Harvard and Oxford. Me? I went to the School of Hard Rocks! Then he became a judge in New Hampshire before gettin' the big gig at the Supreme Court. Yabba Dabba Doo! What a ride! This is Fred Flintstone signing off! Wilmaaaaa! Where's my bronto burger?!
