Great Gazoo! What's This News?

Yabba Dabba Doo! Fred Flinstone here reporting live from my stone house... well not really live Wilma would kill me if I brought that noisy Dino bird in here! Anyway I just heard from the Great Gazoo (he still owes me five clams for that bowling lesson!) that General Motors – you know the folks who make those fancy horseless carriages – are throwin' down four BILLION clams on some new plants! Sounds like a lot of clams to me even for Mr. Slate!

Mexican Car Production... Gone!

Apparently some of those newfangled Chevrolet Blazer and Equinox thingamajigs are currently being built down south in Mexico. But now GM's bringing 'em back to Bedrock er America! They're gonna fire up some plants here and start crankin' out these gas guzzlers right here in the good ol' US of A. I bet those cars dont run on stone coal but gas yabba dabba doo!

Trump's Tariffs: A Prehistoric Power Play?

Now the bigwigs are sayin' this is all thanks to some fella named Trump and his fancy tariffs. Tariffs? Sounds like somethin' you put on a roof made of dinosaur bones but I guess it means GM is buildin cars here! He slapped some heavy taxes on cars comin' in from Mexico and now GM's sayin' "Yabba Dabba Doo! We're stayin' here!" Maybe this Trump character isnt a bad guy maybe he likes Bronto Burgers Yabba Dabba Doo!

Orion Plant: From Electric Dreams to Gas Powered Schemes

Here's where it gets as confusing as explainin' bowling to Dino! There's this plant in a place called Orion used to be all electric cars which noone buys! But now they are switching it over to gas powered vehicles! I guess these folks at GM changed their minds faster than I change my mind about goin' to work for Mr. Slate!

More Cars More Jobs: Sounds Like a Grand Old Time!

The bottom line is this: GM's gonna be buildin' more than two million of these horseless carriages every year right here in the good ol' U.S. of A.! That means more jobs more Bronto Burgers to buy and maybe even enough clams to finally pay back the Great Gazoo (though I'm hopin' he forgets!). Yabba Dabba Doo!

GM's Future: Resilient Like a Stone Wheel!

So it looks like GM is betting that building gas powered cars and trucks is a better bet at least for now. As their big chief Mary Barra said they're gonna be "resilient" and "seize opportunities." Sounds like a fancy way of sayin' "We're gonna keep chuggin' along like a stone wheel on a hill!" Yabba Dabba Doo! Fred Flinstone over and out!
