These mortgage rates… they're higher than Mr. Slate's temper when I'm late for work! Seems like they jumped up faster than Dino chasing a Bronto burger! I heard it was 6.85%! I tell you Wilma if I don’t get a better rate soon we'll be stuck in this cave forever!

A Roller Coaster Ride Worse Than My Driving!

This whole thing is like a roller coaster at Bedrock Theme Park – one minute you're up the next you're down and you're screaming the whole time! Last week they said the rates were the lowest since last October because of President… uh what was his name? Trumpet? Trombone? Anyway he announced these… uh…global thingamajigs and tariffs and the market went all screwy! Investors started panicking like Barney when he thinks he's lost his bowling ball.

I overheard some egghead named Matthew Graham say it was all a "knee jerk reaction." Sounds painful! Then some other guy Bessent talked about tariffs being like "melting ice cubes." All I know is my dreams of a new bigger rock house are melting faster than an ice cream in the Bedrock sun! I just don't know about this!

Wilmaaa! Where’s the Antidepressants?!

They said the spring housing season was supposed to be good with more sellers and more houses for sale. But a lady named Danielle Hale (who?) said the prices are too high and people are worried about losing their jobs! I can relate! Mr. Slate's always threatening to fire me! "The spring housing season is beginning with more sellers and a growing number of homes for sale," she said... Well whoop dee doo for that!

Pebbles and Bamm Bamm Might Never Get a Room!

The biggest drop in rates was back in January and February but even then house sales barely went up! Some guy named Lawrence Yun said we need a "meaningful decline in mortgage rates." You think?! I mean Yabba Dabba Doo what do they expect? If mortgage rates stay this high Pebbles and Bamm Bamm will be stuck living with us forever! Wilma will have my hide if that happens!

So what's next? More waiting! They say these "consumer price index" and "produce price index" reports might change things. Sounds like a load of Bronto burgers to me!
