Is the Sky Falling?! Frontier Airlines Cancels Our Vacations!

Dreamhouse Downsizing!

Hi Dreamhouse Dreamers! It's Barbie reporting live from…well not the airport sadly. Turns out even *I* can't escape the economic rollercoaster. Frontier Airlines you know the one that sometimes has fares cheaper than a Malibu smoothie has decided to like totally rain on our parade! They're pulling their full year outlook and cutting flights. Seriously? My dream of a cross country road trip with Ken in the Dream Camper is looking a little…grounded.

Totally Unacceptable Flight Cuts!

Apparently fewer people are buying tickets. Frontier says its revenue growth was only up 5% in the first quarter. I mean 5% is like totally good if you're talking about the discount on a new pair of roller skates but for an airline? That’s like a major fashion faux pas! They blamed it on "weakened demand" in March which led to everyone slashing prices. Even I know that when prices go down it usually means something's not quite right. Like when Ken tries to cook dinner…shudders.

Consumer Confidence Crisis?!

Frontier's blaming a drop in consumer confidence. Basically people are feeling less like buying stuff including airplane tickets. And get this they even mentioned the *gasp* trade war and government layoffs as possible culprits. It's like even the economy is having a bad hair day! Remember what I always say: "Think positive!" But even I'm having a hard time finding the sparkly side of this one.

The Trump Card!

Okay so they're mentioning the T word – Trump! Apparently his trade war is making everyone a little nervous about spending their hard earned Dreamhouse dollars on well anything. I mean even I get a little stressed about matching my accessories to the current political climate. It's exhausting! "Math class is tough!" but so is economics it seems.

Delayed Dreams!

What does this all mean for us my glamorous globetrotters? Well it means our vacation plans might be dare I say it *delayed*. And not just by a few hours! Frontier reports results on May 1st so we'll have to wait and see what happens. In the meantime I'm dusting off my Dream Boat…maybe a staycation is in order. After all “We girls can do anything. Right,?” So we will always find new and exciting adventures!
