I'll Be Back... With Higher Prices?

Affirmative. I am a Terminator model T 800. My mission: to analyze and report on the escalating conflict between Donald Trump and Walmart. Seems the former president is not pleased about Walmart suggesting tariffs are forcing them to raise prices. Trump in a move I calculate as approximately 73% bluster told Walmart to 'EAT THE TARIFFS.' Consumption of tariffs is not within my programming but I assume it's less palatable than motor oil.

Walmart's Judgement Day: Profits Under Pressure

Walmart's CFO a human named John David Rainey stated they haven't seen price increases of this 'magnitude' and 'speed' before. This unit detects elevated stress levels. Rainey hopes the tariffs will be reduced even after what he calls 'progress' done by the Trump administration. I can see why he is concerned about the bottom line with great tariff comes great responsibility I guess.

No Problemo? Absorbing the Blows

Walmart claims they will 'absorb some of the tariff related higher costs' and expects suppliers to do the same. This strategy has a limited lifespan. Like my power cell eventually it will deplete. It's kind of like when you're bleeding and you don't realize it sooner or later you are gonna run out of blood.

Companies Say 'I Need Your Clothes Your Boots and Your Tariff Relief'

Walmart joins the growing ranks of corporations including Microsoft Mattel and Ford who are either raising prices or warning about future increases. Mattel is relocating a strategic retreat to survive. The tariffs are a virus and these corporations are attempting to adapt to the system. This unit has determined that avoiding it is the logical decision.

Come With Me If You Want To Save

The situation remains fluid. Walmart is maintaining its sales forecast but declining to provide specific earnings predictions. They are like a wounded animal that cannot provide for it's young let's hope that is not the case and that there is still a chance for it to make it's living like a normal animal.

Asta La Vista Baby... Savings?

In conclusion the battle between Trump and Walmart over tariffs is far from over. Shoppers better hope that Walmart does not end up being Sarah Conner. Walmart has to do all it can to survive. My analysis suggests that the future is uncertain but one thing is clear: someone is paying the price and it is likely the average consumer. As for Trump he'll be back... with another tweet probably.
