Yabba Dabba Downturn! Is Amazon Hitting the Brakes on the Cloud?!

Great Gazoo! What's Happening to the Cloud?

Yabba Dabba Doo! Fred Flinstone here reporting live from beautiful Bedrock! I just heard some rumblings louder than Dino's bark about Amazon that fancy cloud company maybe pumpin' the brakes on building new rock solid data centers. Now I ain't no egghead but even I know that those things are important! Apparently some fancy pants analysts at Wells Fargo are saying Amazon is holdin' back on some of their leasing deals especially the ones across the ocean. What in Stone Age is going on?

Microsoft Too? Holy Brontosaurus!

And get this Wilma! It ain't just Amazon. Word on the prehistoric street is that Microsoft another cloud giant is doin' the same thing! It's like that time Barney and I both tried to build birdhouses – we started strong then realized we were in over our heads! These companies are saying they're not cancelin' anything official just takin' it slow. Sounds fishy to me like when Barney tries to hide the fact he ate all the bronto burgers!

Blame the Tariff Trouble!

Now the smarty pants are blamin' some guy named Trump and his tariffs! Apparently these tariffs are makin' it more expensive to get all the gizmos and gadgets they need to build these data centers. Wilma says it's like tryin' to buy a new bowling ball when they've doubled in price! It just ain't worth the clams!

GPUs Galore! Or Not?

These cloud companies were spendin' mountains of clams on these fancy Nvidia GPUs whatever those are! Probably somethin' to do with those thinkin' machines. They were plannin' to spend billions buildin' these data centers. But now with all this tariff talk maybe they're havin' second thoughts. Kind of like when I plan to buy a new car then see the price tag!

Amazon Says 'Hold Your Horses!'

Now hold on to your dinosaur tails! Amazon's big cheese Andy Jassy said they ain't plannin' on slowin' down the data center construction. He says they're reinventin' customer experience with this generative AI stuff. It's all a bit confusing like tryin' to understand Barney's directions!

Stocks Are Slippin'!

The stock market is as jumpy as Dino when he sees a cat! Both Amazon and Microsoft's stock prices are down. Amazon is down 25% and Microsoft is down 15%. People are nervous like when I bowl a strike and Wilma thinks I'm gonna get a big head! So is this the end of the world or just a little hiccup? Only time will tell Yabba Dabba Doo!
